Could a recent trip to Montana be the binding moment for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's relationship? Why Jlo should jump back on the Bennifer train.

Will Ben Affleck and JLo reunite? Inside the iconic Bennifer relationship

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who have set the media world on fire with rumors of their rekindled relationship, were spotted over the weekend in Montana, where the Batman v. Superman star owns a home. They were then seen landing in Los Angeles in a private jet. This much speculated reunion, of course, comes nearly seventeen years after the couple broke off their engagement in 2003. Is Bennifer really back?

One insider close to the situation told E! News that “She wants to give it a shot with Ben,” the insider said. “They never really had closure and she has always wondered what could have been. The timing was never right and they were in different places until now.”

The source continued: “She finally has had the opportunity to spend time with him and see where this could lead. They are very comfortable together and it’s easy. She wants to keep seeing him and is very happy.” We’re all invested in the relationship between Affleck and Jlo, as they’re both likable celebs that are easy to root for, especially Jlo herself, who hasn’t seemed to age in thirty years. Could this lead to a new engagement?

Time is a flat circle

It was recently reported by Page Six that Ben Affleck had visited Jlo up to three times since she returned to Los Angeles after a long movie shoot in the Dominican Republic. However, is this a romantic rekindling of a love that once existed, or is Lopez simply reaching out to former friends who can help her get through what seems to be another overblown albeit seemingly difficult Hollywood break up for the star?

Surprisingly, Ben Affleck isn’t the only person that Jennifer Lopez has seen in these past few weeks. It is being reported that she has also met up for dinner with her recent ex, Alex Rodriguez, who called off their engagement not too long ago. As well, Lopez has also leaned on the support of another famous ex, singer Marc Anthony, as well as her good friend Leah Remini. She really is making all of the rounds.

Since her return home, Lopez had been rehearsing for her part in “Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World”, which took place this past weekend at SoFi Stadium in L.A. and was hosted by Selena Gomez, featuring performances from Lopez, the Foo Fighters, as well as others. Now that it’s over, perhaps a long weekend away out of Hollywood is just what the doctor ordered for Ben Affleck and Jlo.

Recalling Bennifer

Many fans of this high-profile couple will recall their 2000s romance, specifically their dating period which lasted from 2002-2004. Ben Affleck and Jlo even had a September 2003 wedding planned before eventually calling off their ceremony. Luckily, even though things didn’t seem to work out romantically, the two have stayed friends over the years, multiple sources report.

Last January, Affleck spoke on their time together to The Hollywood Reporter, stating the following: “People were so f**king mean about her — sexist, racist. Ugly, vicious s— was written about her in ways that if you wrote it now you would literally be fired for saying those things you said. Now it’s like, she’s lionized and respected for the work she did, where she came from, what she accomplished — as well she f**king should be!”

Affleck, who even appeared in Jlo’s 2002 music video “Jenny From the Block”, continued: “I would say you have a better shot, coming from the Bronx, of ending up as, like, [Justice Sonia] Sotomayor on the Supreme Court than you do of having Jennifer Lopez’s career and being who she is at 50 years old today.”
