When it comes to 'Tiger King' season 2, we know one thing for sure: Carole Baskin won't be in it. Find out why the reality TV star is staying away!

Why is Carole Baskin furious over ‘Tiger King’ season 2?

2021 just keeps getting stranger & stranger. After a summer of vaccine roll-outs made many parts of the world feel a bit more normal, some things are bringing us right back to the beginning of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Tiger King enthralled audiences when the docuseries dropped on Netflix back in March 2020, and now the original viral quarantine series is coming back to audiences with a vengeance.

Fans of one of the most widely loved documentary series of all time are stoked to see their old pal Joe Exotic again with season 2 of Tiger King. However, not everyone is excited to see the show come back on Netflix. As reports of Tiger King season 2 spread rapidly over the web, the stars of the original series have been reacting to news of the show’s revival.

Furthermore, one star couldn’t be less excited for season 2. Here’s what we’ve found.

Carole Baskin

Folks remember Tiger King through the key players of the docuseries. Yes, the eccentric stranger-than-fiction Joe Exotic is undoubtedly the star of the series, but he is just one of many interesting tiger tamers in Tiger King. Fans of the show remember Doc Antle, John Finlay, and of course, Carole Baskin.

Carole Baskin is arguably the second most famous subject to come out of Tiger King, and her feud with Joe Exotic during season 1 is one of the most important plotlines of the series. Music fans will even remember Megan Thee Stallion shouting out Baskin on her November 2020 hit “Body”.

Despite the fame Baskin earned from Tiger King, the tiger-lover is certainly not a fan of her portrayal on the series. Since Tiger King season 2 has been announced, Baskin has been letting publications know her feelings about the show’s revival.

Slammed

Screen Rant dropped a story on Saturday saying Carole Baskin has slammed Tiger King season 2. Reports say the animal enthusiast spoke to Variety and didn’t mince words when asked about the people behind Tiger King, as well as the show’s upcoming second season.

Producers Eric Goode & Rebecca Chaiklin directed the first season of Tiger King, and the duo are returning for season 2 of the wildly successful show. Baskin referred to the two by name when she spoke to Variety about the return of the series.

Baskin is quoted saying, “I know some people who have been involved in it and they were doing more filming, so I assumed at some point they would come out with a Tiger King 2. It took them five years to put together the first one, so I thought it would be a lot longer”.

Baskin went on to say, “The directors tried to clear the air, but I told them to lose my number because that was not at all what we had agreed we were working on. I wouldn’t call Eric Goode or Rebecca Chaiklin true documentarians. I mean that was just a reality show dumpster fire”.

Tiger King season 2

Wow, Carole, tell us how you really feel. Reports say Carole Baskin has refused to join in Tiger King season 2 because of the way she was portrayed in the first season. So, I guess we can’t expect to see too much Carole in Tiger King season 2. So, what can we expect to see?

There haven’t been too many details released about the upcoming season of Tiger King. However, reports speculate we’ll see Joe Exotic give some interviews via telephone from jail. As explained in the first season of the show, Joe’s feud with rival tiger parks landed him in the slammer, where he remains to this day.

It’s unclear who else we’ll see in season 2, but considering the already controversial buzz, we can only imagine the new season will provide as much juice as the first.
