First on the list of cancellations is Ansel Elgort. Here's why the 'Baby Driver' cast is just awful and Elgort is no exception.

Recent news about Ansel Elgort proves the ‘Baby Driver’ cast is awful

We think next up on the list of cancelations needs to be stan culture, but first we have to finish canceling Ansel Elgort. (Which stans are none too pleased to discover.) Today it has been revealed the actor, famous thanks to The Fault in Our Stars, has joined his Baby Driver cast member Kevin Spacey in being a total creep.

Honestly, after we’re done with this article we’re going to need to take a shower because the stuff coming out about Elgort is making us feel dirty just reading about it.

Crap first started hitting the fan when a girl with the username @itsgabby made a post to Twitter stating that when she was seventeen Elgort took advantage of her sexually, and yes, she was a minor and he was not. Her post contained two images of an account she wrote in the notes app on her phone, so it’s long.

Sony has asked Edgar Wright to consider writing a sequel to the surprise summer hit 'Baby Driver' after a box office take of almost $40 million to date.

Gabby opens by telling the internet she isn’t “clout chasing”, she’s just trying to heal. She had direct messaged Elgort on Twitter a few day before her seventeenth birthday thinking he would never see the message. She was just a fan who figured she’d try and reach out.

However, he did see the message and Elgort gave her his private Snapchat account username. Gabby has another tweet with a picture showing the messages.

Gabby eventually ended up meeting him. She also has picture proof of the two of them together on a couch – his arm is around her shoulders. Then he forced her to have sex. Gabby says she was crying because she didn’t want to, and all Elgort said was “we have to break you in”. Disgusting.

Gabby goes on to describe how he asked her for a threesome with one of her friends who was also underage. She also describes what the effects of the assault have been on her and how she’s been trying to heal from it for years.

If this wasn’t enough to condemn Ansel Elgort (it very much is), once people realized he was actually a terrible human they started posting quotes from Elgort in various interviews. These excerpts suddenly make a lot more sense – which is to say they’re downright terrifying.

One quote from Ansel Elgort in a GQ interview says, “Girls love it when you have some weird nerdy thing in your room. It makes you look less threatening, even though I’m, like, very threatening, I’m the most threatening guy ever.” Who says that? Who thinks that about themselves? Ansel Elgort apparently.

This not only shows he knows what he does is wrong, but it proves premeditation and implies he takes advantage of women on, at least, a semi-regular basis. Put a disgusted expletive of your choice here, we can’t choose just one.

Another disturbing quote from the actor states, “There’s something really great about a bathtub. Some of the greatest scenes in movies and also artwork. [sic] Everything from DMX sitting in a bathtub full of blood, or Prince sitting in a bathtub on stage, and Eminem too. Bathtubs are provocative things. People have sex in bathtubs, they touch themselves in bathtubs, they kill themselves in bathtubs. Bathtubs are a real place where a lot of sh!* goes down.”

This honestly sounds like a monologue that you’d hear from a fictional character in something like Silence of the Lambs. Not what you’d expect from a twenty-something-year-old actor who is best known for his role in a teen romance movie about cancer kids in love.

A number of Elgort stans have been claiming Gabby is a liar or chasing clout. One person even had the audacity to say she was lucky. But the quotes which came out of Elgort’s own mouth seem to paint the picture of his character pretty clearly. The man deserves cancelation and he deserves it right now. Make sure he joins the ranks of his fellow Baby Driver castmate Kevin Spacey. Heck, make sure he gets even more canceled.

  • I feel like you’ve taken these quotes out of context in order to paint someone as evil…not taking sides as it isnt my place, but this is bad journalism on your part. Do better next time.
