Has 2020 brought love to BTS? All their rumored relationships
Rumors about celebrities are like cheap wine: It’s okay to indulge a little bit, but you’ll regret diving to the bottom of the bottle. BTS was easily the biggest band in the world in 2020, so it’s no surprise every tabloid is trying to figure out who the boys are dating.
However, many forget South Korean celebrities often have “no public relationship” clauses in their contracts. As part of their appeal and due to their “role model” status, BTS most likely has a similar clause in their contract with Big Hit Entertainment. So while the boys appear single in public, that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have a girlfriend.
We’re here to look at all the rumored loves of BTS’ lives during 2020. While the BTS ARMY is their number one love, there seems to be evidence at least a few of the boys found someone to quarantine with.
Jungkook
The maknae of BTS, Jungkook has easily been tied to the most women in 2020. From Blackpink’s Lisa, to DIA’s Jung Chae Yeon, nearly every female idol has been rumored to be dating Jungkook. Just last year, Big Hit had to speak out saying Jungkook and tattoo artist Lee Mi-joo weren’t together either.
Right now, the biggest rumors about Jungkook’s girlfriend are Lisa, and an ex-girlfriend of his, Sewon. There isn’t any substantial evidence proving either relationship is real though.
Jin
For the longest time, everyone was convinced BTS’ Jin was seeing comedian Lee Gook Joo, as he names her in the dedication section of BTS’ first three albums. Of course, Lee Gook Joo and Jin both denied the rumors, saying they are just close friends.
Jin’s latest rumored girlfriends include TWICE’s Nayeon & Dahyun and Red Velvet’s Irene. But for the most part, the media does believe Jin is single. Who knows what the end of 2020 will bring for Jin in terms of girlfriend rumors though.
RM
RM has been very open about his pre-debut dating life in 2020, but since joining BTS, RM has been mum about his dating life. Back in 2017, RM spoke about writing the lyrics for Love Yourself: Her’s outro. “I’m saying I met this person that I really love, this person is the love of my life right now.”
Fans couldn’t figure out if it was hypothetical or about his girlfriend. But considering RM has told the story about the girlfriend who helped him love himself again, we’re assuming he’s okay with loving himself over a girlfriend right now.
Suga
After the delicious collaboration on “Wine”, fans were convinced Suga and singer Suran were dating. It didn’t help Suran shared a photo on Instagram of macaroons with Suga’s birth name Yoongi as the caption. Bit Hit eventually came out to deny all connections between the two.
In May 2020, while he was busy with BTS’s new album, Suga released a collab with Korean singer IU. The song won over fans fairly quickly, but what won over fans more was the chemistry off-screen between IU and Suga. Both have just said the collab was between good friends, but that hasn’t stopped fans from fantasizing about IU and Suga being together.
J-Hope
Maybe it’s just because he’s always come across as the lone wolf of the group, but J-Hope surprisingly has not been connected to any other singers. Not even the craziness of 2020 has changed that for J-Hope.
Jimin
When KARA’s Han Seung-yeon admitted she fancied Jimin after seeing him during a press event, fans went wild with speculation. Don’t worry though, Seung-yeon came back out and said it was just a girl crush, nothing serious was happening between the two of them.
The other big idol tied to Jimin romantically is Red Velvet’s Seulgi. For years, fans have speculated the two are an item, but neither party has confirmed nor denied the rumors. Jimin did say he likes the girl group, but wasn’t dating any of them romantically a while back.
V
Last but certainly not least, BTS’s V romantic rumors oddly tied him to a fan in the past. The rumors stated V was dating a BTS fan named Hi, and when V would post to Instagram with the frequent caption “Hi Nuna”, he was referencing Hi. Big Hit did come out and say while V and Hi were in frequent contact, nothing romantic was occurring between the two.
Shockingly, V was also tied to Red Velvet romantically like his fellow BTS members. This time, V was tied to Red Velvet’s Joy back in 2015. Neither party confirmed nor denied the rumors.

BTS is an amzazing group of talented,caring,honest,trustworthy,honest,funny and understanding people they always send inspiring messages to not just there fans but to everyone around the world and i think evevn if they have a boyfriend/girlfriend it doesn’t matter it shouldn’t affect anyone because it is there love life so what we need to do is support there decisions.
