Festival News – Mammoth Film Festival announces delay until 2022
Mammoth Film Festival announces it will delay until 2022. Instead of holding a virtual festival or adapting their standard format, #MammothFF has chosen to delay until 2022 in the hopes of returning to the festival in proper form.
The festival is responsible for debuting various popular films that are currently streaming and trending across digital platforms, having been sold following their Mammoth Film Festival premiere over the last two years, such as Josh Duhamel‘s Buddy Games co-starring Olivia Munn, Kevin Dillon and Dax Shepard, Peter Facinelli’s The Vanished starring Anne Heche and Thomas Jane, Zac Efron’s series Off The Grid, The Acquainted (US festival premiere), and Tony Hawk‘s Pretending I’m A Superman, to name a few.
It was also announced a few days ago that James Lafferty & Stephen Colletti’s original comedy series Everyone Is Doing Great was acquired by Hulu to begin airing January 13th 2021, which also debuted at Mammoth Film Festival in the extended episodic shorts block in 2018.
The festival is known for directorial debuts, impactful features, riveting documentaries, and incredible shorts with both notable, well respected actors as well as up & comers. In addition to the above talent there to debut their films, attendees at the recent festival included everyone from the likes of Rebel Wilson, Lesley Anne Brandt, Nina Dobrev, Michael Madsen, Ashley Greene, Giacamo Gianniotti, Lukas Haas, Hana Mae Lee, Kat Graham, Tara Wood, and MANY more, all supporting projects at MFF.
Festival Co-Founder and President Tanner Beard also won the most recent season of ABC’s Holey Moley golf-competition show, where he competed on behalf of the festival, and specifically its Mammoth Media Institute.
Mammoth Film Festival would have been in its 4th year, taking place annually in Mammoth Lakes, California’s favorite winter festival. Founded by film producer/actor Tanner Beard and film/event producer Tomik Mansoori, co-founded by actress/producer Alexandra Chando and film producer/publicist Theo Dumont (@Mammothfilmfestival on Instagram, #MammothFF).
Regardless of the festival physically not taking place, they will continue to support their film community with content and support to their filmmakers releases, sales and news all year long through their platform. Submissions for 2022 will be open on FilmFreeway this week.

The safety of our filmmakers, industry colleagues, and festival attendees comes first and with the restrictions to ensure that, it’s not possible to provide the experience that makes our festival great.
