Which hosts will return for the new season of ‘Great British Bake Off’?
The most wholesome show in the world of reality TV cooking is coming back to audiences around the globe. That’s right, folks – The Great British Bake Off is returning with a new season.
It has been a year since we last got any footage from our friendly dough-folders from across the pond, and we needed The Great British Bake Off as bad in 2021 as we did back in 2020. Lucky for fans, new episodes were confirmed this week to come to fans in no time.
Now The Great British Bake Off is coming back to fans, and audiences couldn’t be more excited for the soothing reality cooking show. However, the show has shown some change ups with its beloved hosts in the past, and fans are wondering who will return for the next season of the hit show. Here’s what we’ve found.
Paul Hollywood
Paul Hollywood is the reigning leader of The Great British Bake Off, and fans are dying to know if the tough-but-fair king of cakes will return for yet another season. We can only imagine if Paul Hollywood left the show, the reaction from Great British Bake Off fans would be downright devastating.
The official Great British Bake Off Twitter sent out a teaser for the next season of the show, but fans weren’t given any clue to the hosts of the show this season. However, The Daily Post reported Monday with some details from the next group of episodes from the intoxicating reality series. Reports say Paul Hollywood will join the bakers once again as one of the show’s main hosts. You can exhale now.
Prue Leith
Prue Leith joined the hosts of The Great British Bake Off back in 2017, after we lost the great Mary Berry from the show after season 7. Berry left Leith with massive shoes to fill, but fans quickly warmed up to the charming restaurateur when she came to the show in season 8.
Leith has been one of the hosts of The Great British Bake Off for four seasons now, but fans wonder if she’ll stay the course with the show and its coming twelfth season. Reports say Leith will return to the show as host & judge when the series comes back to fans, a release date which can’t come too soon.
Noel Fielding
Noel Fielding, who millennials will remember as the internet character of yore Old Gregg (believe it!), was a welcome change up in the hosts of The Great British Bake Off when he joined the show for its eighth season.
The forty-eight-year-old comedian has put some spice into the Bake Off’s recipe of good-natured competition, and fans are hoping the funnyman will return to bring some laughs to one of TV’s most unique cooking shows. Reports say we’ll have him back for another season, which will be his fifth rotation with the show.
Matt Lucas
Finally, Matt Lucas will add another season of The Great British Bake Off to his lengthy filmography when the series comes back for a twelfth season. The actor & comedian has only been a part of The Great British Bake Off family for one season, but his taste of the show was scrumptious enough to have him come running back for more.
Furthermore, fans must have warmed up to the English funnyman, as he’s been welcomed back with the other newbies to join Paul Hollywood in guiding our bakers through their latest journeys. The show’s teaser has only told fans the new season is “coming soon”, so we’ll have to keep an eye out for when we can see the greatest bakers from across the pond go head to head once again.
