Apple cider cookies

Sometimes you’re craving a tasty drink; other times you’re wanting something yummy to eat for dessert. Why not have both at the same time? Here’s one of the apple recipes giving you the best of both worlds. This recipe can be used to make a cookie with the taste of an apple cider drink.

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1.4 teaspoon baking soda, 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon, ½ teaspoon nutmeg, ½ teaspoon table salt, 1 cup softened unsalted butter, ½ cup granulated white sugar, ¾ cup light brown sugar, 1 large egg, ¼ cup apple cider, and one peeled & diced apple.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and baking soda in a medium bowl.
  3. In another bowl and using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugars until the substance is fluffy. This usually takes about two to three minutes.
  4. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix at a low to medium speed until the ingredients become moistened. Stir in the apple.
  5. Scoop the cookies into one-and-a-half inch balls and place them onto the cookie sheets about two inches apart.
  6. Bake the cookies for ten to twelves minutes or until the edges and centers are set. Let cool on the pan for five minutes before allowing them to cool fully on a cooling rack.

Easy apple crisp

Making a tasty dessert from apple recipes doesn’t have to be difficult. Here’s a recipe for apple crisp that is sure to make your mouth water.

Ingredients

6 peeled & chopped golden delicious apples, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 ½ teaspoon lemon juice, 1 cup light brown sugar, ¾ cup old fashioned oats, ¾ cup all-purpose flour, ½ cup cold unsalted butter that’s been diced into small cubes, and a pinch of kosher salt.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an eight-by-eight baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, stir together chopped apples, granulated sugar, ¾ teaspoon cinnamon, and lemon juice. Add the mixture to the baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix the brown sugar, oats, flour, a teaspoon of cinnamon, salt, and butter.
  4. Cut the butter into the oat mixture by using a pastry cutter. Cut it with a downward twisting motion until the mixture looks like crumbs the size of peas.
  5. Spread the oat mixture over the apples. Bake the dish for forty to fifty minutes or until the apple crisp becomes golden brown.

Apple cobbler

Apple cobbler is another tasty treat to make using apple recipes. Here’s a recipe to make a delicious apple cobbler.

Ingredients

8 cups peeled & sliced apples, ⅓ cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ½ cup melted butter, 1 ½ cup sugar, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 ¾ cup milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and 3 teaspoons baking powder.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. In a nine-by-thirteen inch baking dish, add melted butter.
  4. In another bowl, stir together the sugar & flour. Then add the milk & vanilla. Stir the mixture until it’s smooth, then add baking powder and stir until it’s all combined.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the dish with butter, but don’t stir it.
  6. Add the apples to the dish with butter, but don’t stir it.
  7. Bake the disk for forty to fifty minutes or until the edges of the dessert are golden brown.
