Global Nonviolent Film Festival 2024 Unveils Lineup of 28 Films from 16 Countries – Including Nine Premieres
The competing movies, along with daily video presentations and the awards’ show, will be available to watch for free—without the need of registration or credit cards—beginning on September 26 and until October 13. The awards show will be broadcast on October 7.
The 13th annual Global Nonviolent Film Festival announced today its lineup. The festival will showcase 28 films selected from 16 countries that will compete for awards given by the jury. Of those films, nine are premieres. The participating countries are Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
When and Where Is the Festival?
The 13th Global Nonviolent Film Festival is LIVE on GlobalCinema.online
The festival will be held online, on the streaming channel GlobalCinema.online, from September 26 to October 13 for all the world to see. This year, the entire program of the 18-day event will be available to the public FREE of charge.
The live program, with daily video presentations, will end on October 7 with the awards show. The 28 films in competition will continue screening until the 13th to give the viewers more time to see them after the results are in.

The films will compete for awards decided by the jury that is composed, in first-name alphabetical order, by: Alberto Nacci from Italy—musician, director, and producer; Genevieve Sulway from Australia—actor, writer, director, and producer; Martyn Le Roux from South Africa—writer, director, and producer; Nikita Hattangady from the United States—writer, director, producer, and children’s book author; and Sas Carey from the United States—director, producer, and published author.

Film Maestro Bruno Pischiutta—director and producer, and Daria Trifu—producer, both proud members of the European Film Academy, launched the Global Nonviolent Film Festival with live screenings in theaters and public squares in the picturesque city of Brasov, Romania, in 2012. Following four consecutive editions held in Brasov, the festival went online in 2016 in order to reach a worldwide audience. The event is owned and organized by Canadian multi-media production and distribution company, Global Film Studio.
All the films that are competing at the festival will receive international distribution contract proposals from Global Cinema Online, the distribution arm of Global Film Studio. This ensures a multi-national clientele and global reach for the movies’ directors, actors, and investors.
