At this height, they will correctly illuminate the interior of the pool; In addition, they will always be accessible from outside the pool and it will not be necessary to empty it to access them.

What kind of spotlights are there to illuminate swimming pools?

They can be distinguished and/or classified based on the following factors:

Depending on the type of lamp: Today we can find projectors that work with halogen lamps (conventional lighting) and others that work through LEDs (LED lighting) 80mm bulb.

Depending on the fixing system: We can also distinguish between those that are embedded in the wall using a fixing niche or the extra-flat ones that are installed on the surface of the wall.

Depending on the material of the pool: Another aspect to take into account when choosing a spotlight will be the type of pool in which it will be installed. In this way, we will find spotlights for liners and, on the other hand, spotlights for concrete pools.

Where to place the spotlights in a pool?

Playing with the location of the spotlights we can achieve different lighting effects, which will give us aesthetic or functional improvements depending on the use we want to give our pool. Of course, there is no single or correct way to place the spotlights. The experience and creativity of the illuminator will have the last word depending on the effect that is pursued. Here are some general recommendations and examples:

Pool near home

If the pool is near our house, it would be convenient to place the spotlights facing away from the residence to avoid glare.

Roman stair lighting

By placing spotlights on the opposite side of the pool’s Roman steps, we achieve the effect that it is perfectly illuminated.

Competition pool

In competition pools, the optimal placement could be on the sides of the pool. In this way, we achieve complete and uniform lighting of the pool as well as avoiding possible dazzling of the swimmers.
