Jeffrey Epstein is know for having a private island in the Caribbean & many people visited him there. However, some guests are rather surprising.

Who are the most unexpected visitors of Jeffrey Epstein’s island?

Jeffrey Epstein’s circle of high-profile friends continues to grow as the sexual abuse case against Epstein reveals more details about the underworkings of the rich and powerful. Given the court is releasing more flight records to Little St. James – along with the island guest lists – we’re finding more well-known names associated with Epstein.

Here are some of the people you’ll least expect to have visited the island known colloquially as “Little St. Jeff’s”.

Stephen Hawking

Out of all of the people in the world, who would’ve thought a group of the brightest minds in the world would gather together to discuss dark matter and string theory on an island with a moniker like “Orgy Island”?

In March 2006, physicists from around the world gathered on Caribbean island St. Thomas for a science conference. During the event, funded by Jeffrey Epstein, Dr. Hawking joined a small group of theoretical physicists to visit nearby Little St. James for a barbecue. The conference brought roughly two dozen physicists, including Nobel laureates David Gross, Frank Wilczek, Gerard ‘t Hooft, and Kip Thorne. The side trip to the island was optional.

Other guests at the party included David Gross, Gerard ‘t Hooft, Lawrence Krauss, Martin Nowak, Lisa Randall, and Frank Wilczek. Krauss was investigated for sexual misconduct by Arizona State University in July 2018 and retired in 2019. Meanwhile, Nowak was placed on academic leave at Harvard University when the institution discovered Nowak gave Epstein access to the campus.

There isn’t any evidence of sexual assault happening during the barbecue, but a photo with Hawking, Gross, and Randall at the party was released a few years ago. Recent file releases recirculated the images, and family statements clarified that caregivers accompanied some attendees.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York

Prince Andrew has made headlines for his connections to Epstein, but it doesn’t negate the shock that literal royalty made its way to Epstein’s “Little St. Jeff’s”. With so much evidence including eyewitness accounts, flight log records, and photographs, it’s quite clear the prince visited the infamous tropical island.

In the Netflix docuseries Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, one of the island’s IT employees, Steve Skully, emphatically named Prince Andrew as one of the celebrity visitors he had seen on the island in 2004. Virginia Giuffre, a well-known Epstein survivor who died by suicide in 2025, also described encounters tied to Epstein’s network. UK police issued fresh appeals for witnesses in 2026 regarding island visits and related allegations.

Clementine Hambro

Another royal joined the Epstein guest list. Clementine Hambro was revealed as an island guest after her name was found in Epstein’s disclosed flight logs. Hambro is the great-grandaughter of Winston Churchill and was a bridesmaid at Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s 1981 wedding.

Hambro released a statement after her name was released, explaining why she went to the island. Hambro took two trips on Epstein’s plane: one of them was to look at Epstein’s house in Santa Fe, while the other was a private invitation from Epstein to visit Little St. James. Hambro said she thought it “would be fun to accept”.

Once getting to the island, however, Hambro said she “didn’t know anyone there, didn’t really enjoy [herself], and never went back.” Hambro also clarified she didn’t witness any form of abuse while at Epstein’s house nor his island.

Bill Clinton

In hindsight, it might not be too surprising, given Clinton’s history and reputation, but having a U.S. president at “Pedophile Island” is rather troubling, to say the least. Court documents and flight logs show four documented plane trips between 2002 and 2003 connected to Clinton Foundation work. No logs or Secret Service records confirm an island visit.

Along with Prince Andrew, Steve Skully also named Clinton in Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich. Virginia Giuffre reported she saw Clinton on the island in 2002. Her account was released when her 2011 defamation case was unsealed, but Clinton continues to refute the claims. Epstein himself wrote in a 2011 email that Clinton was “NEVER EVER there.” Ghislaine Maxwell stated in a 2025 interview that Clinton “absolutely never went” to the island. Fact-check consensus holds that no confirmed island visit occurred.

Howard Lutnick and Family

Howard Lutnick, longtime CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, surfaced in 2026 congressional testimony as another unexpected visitor. Emails and records confirm he brought his wife, children, and nannies to Little St. James for lunch in December 2012. Lutnick had previously stated he cut ties after Epstein’s 2005 comments, yet the documented family visit occurred years later.

Tech Industry Visitors

Tech leaders also appear in the records. Sergey Brin and Anne Wojcicki visited in 2007. Reid Hoffman and Joi Ito visited in November 2014. Some later expressed regret over the associations once Epstein’s conduct became public.

Post-Epstein Island Developments

The island itself has changed hands. Stephen Deckoff purchased Little St. James and Great St. James for $60 million in 2023. Plans for a resort opening in 2025 stalled, and no construction has been reported as of 2026. The House Oversight Committee released interior and exterior photos in December 2025 showing bedrooms and the pool area.

Data-Driven Visitor Tracking

Data-Driven Visitor Tracking

A 2024 WIRED investigation used location data from Near Intelligence to map visits between 2016 and 2019. Nearly 200 mobile devices pinged on the island during that period, tracing back to 166 U.S. locations. The data offers a clearer picture of traffic after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.

These documented connections continue to surface as files are unsealed and new records emerge. The pattern shows how Epstein drew figures from science, royalty, politics, finance, and technology into his orbit, even when the visits themselves remain limited to a single lunch, a conference barbecue, or a short flight.
