WGA East strikes deal with Cloak to safeguard screenplays from AI scraping

Variety reports that the Writers Guild of America East has entered into a collaboration with Cloak, known as an AI shielding tool.

Its purpose is to assist writers in protecting their scripts against use in AI model development.

Under the terms, WGAE members will be given no-cost access to the Cloak platform.

For those not affiliated with WGAE, access to Cloak costs $10 after registering a script.
