Snoop Dogg’s net worth: Here are all of his business ventures
Snoop Dogg is one of the most recognizable and iconic rappers of all time, with seventeen albums under his belt since his musical debut in 1993. Only four of his albums haven’t peaked in the top fifty of the Billboard 200, and if you didn’t know that he was still making music, don’t feel too bad because the ones that haven’t ranked are his most recent!
But did you know that, outside of his music career, Snoop has spearheaded a long run of business ventures? Find out more about Snoop and how he spends his time outside of the studio below.
Cannabis contributions
One of the most well-known projects Snoop Dogg has gotten into is the world of cannabis products. Snoop’s personal brand, Leafs, has some of the most aesthetically pleasing packaging on the market and specializes in chocolate bars, chews, drops, and gummies in addition to actual cannabis flower (i.e., buds for smoking, etc.).
Branching out from his own empire, Snoop invested early on in Eaze, a California-based startup that eventually grew into one of the state’s premier cannabis delivery services.
Snoop also founded digital media platform Merry Jane with Ted Chung in 2015. The site features editorial content about the cannabis industry, as well as serving as a database for identifying different strains & dispensaries.
Outside of the music industry
In 2005, Snoop founded his own production company, Snoopadelic Films. The main purpose of the company is to release projects relating to the rapper; some recent work includes thriller Hood of Horror and Reincarnated, a documentary about Snoop’s exploration of Rastafarian culture and his transformation into Snoop Lion.
No discussion of Snoop’s career is complete without talk of his work with convicted felon Martha Stewart. The pair has teamed up for three seasons on Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, a VH1 show that highlights the duo’s lovingly unusual friendship.
Besides his work on Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, Snoop has appeared in 2019’s stoner comedy The Beach Bum, in which he played R&B singer Rie. He also made guest appearances on Modern Family, American Dad, The Simpsons, and The Boondocks.
Snoop Dogg lent his voice to several animated movies, including The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run, Turbo, and most recently as Cousin Itt in The Addams Family.
Lucrative taste
Another of Snoop’s ventures that has proven to be an enjoyable & lucrative project was renovating & flipping the mansion he purchased in 1994. Originally bought for $660,000, in 2007 it raked in a cool $2 million – for an inflation-adjusted profit of over 41%.
Snoop also has an interest in car collecting, with a total of twenty-five vintage cars from the 60s and 70s including a Rolls Royce, a Chevrolet, and a 2008 Dodge Challenger with retro styling.
