SiriusXM launches Wu-Tang Clan channel pop-up for subscribers

SiriusXM announced on November 2 the creation of The Wu-Tang Clan Channel presented by Rock The Bells Radio. The temporary station serves as a tribute to the influential hip-hop ensemble and the enduring effects they have had on music along with wider culture.

The channel becomes accessible to subscribers via the SiriusXM app beginning November 4 and continuing through December 1. Content explores the Wu-Tang universe through classic anthems, important album selections, notable solo releases, and recorded live shows. Audiences will encounter exclusive conversations with clan members, uncommon accounts regarding the music's origins, and specialized segments found solely on the platform.

Programming also reaches LL COOL J's Rock The Bells Radio on SiriusXM channel 43. Wednesdays during November focus entirely on Wu-Tang material that covers the ensemble's career of more than three decades. Offerings feature recordings from their storied collection, distinctive commentary, behind-the-scenes details, and individual observations about the collective's influence and place in history.

Clan members will join a live audience discussion at the SiriusXM Los Angeles facilities. Peter Rosenberg serves as host for the Front Row event on November 12. The entire session airs November 13 at 6pm ET simultaneously on Rock The Bells Radio and the Wu-Tang channel, remaining available later through the app. Subscribers can participate in a contest offering two tickets to attend the event.

Originating from Staten Island in New York City in the early 1990s, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees-elect consist of RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. RZA oversees production that regularly incorporates clips from martial arts movies along with classical string passages from Kung Fu films and soul performances by figures including Isaac Hayes, Syl Johnson, James Brown, and Rick James.

Multiple gold and platinum albums mark their output. The group's overall catalog includes more than 85 full-length projects. They have expanded beyond music into entrepreneurship and cultural leadership through clothing brands, video games, books, and acting roles.

The artists have maintained live performances as a collective since issuing their initial record Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) in 1993. The release achieved quadruple-platinum status and brought forward enduring songs such as "C.R.E.A.M." (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) and "Protect Ya Neck." Activities continue with headlining the international farewell tour Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber and selections from GZA's Liquid Swords as well as Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…, all while paying tribute to the late Ol' Dirty Bastard at venues across the world.

This channel launch aligns with the observance of Wu-Tang Clan Day in New York City, which recognizes the release date of their groundbreaking 1993 debut, and with their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
