‘Selling Sunset’: How did Heather Rae Young make her net worth?

Selling Sunset’s cast of Oppenheim realtors seems to be filled with women with illustrious backgrounds and Heather Rae Young is no different. Young might have entered Hollywood as a Playboy model, but her time as a luxury real estate agent might have helped expand her net worth into the millions.

Life & Style Magazine suggests Young might be worth about $3 million, according to some estimates. Here’s everything we know about what Heather Rae Young has done to be a possible millionaire.

Playboy playmate & acting

Young first joined the entertainment industry as a Playboy playmate when she attended a casting call in 2008. By 2010, Young made a name for herself when she became Playmate of the Month in February 2010. Though she still supports Playboy, Young isn’t planning on posing for Playboy anytime soon.

Young expanded her portfolio in the 2010s, appearing in calendars & many ad campaigns for alcohol companies & clothing lines. According to Young’s IMDb page, she was a “swimsuit, glamor, and lingerie model” in addition to her Playboy career.

Because of her modeling, Young appeared in minor roles in a few movies over the years, including Shawn Levy’s The Internship. The majority of these movies were between 2010-2014, so she might not be looking to make an acting career alongside her current job as a realtor.

Luxury real estate agent & reality star

Young is represented by The Oppenheim Group, a Los Angeles-based luxury real estate agency, specializing in multi-million-dollar apartments & mansions. According to the group’s website, Young has sold properties to “high profile and high net worth clientele.”

Of course, being an Oppenheim realtor, Young gained fame and expanded her net worth with Selling Sunset. She’s been a part of the main cast since its season premiere in 2019, but Netflix hasn’t renewed the reality show for a fourth season. However, Selling Sunset continues to gain in popularity, so a renewal might not be too far in the future.

Influencer & podcaster

With the boom of Instagram, being a social media influencer can produce a big paycheck. Young has over 1.5 million followers and occasionally posts sponsored content to promote to her fans. According to Life & Style Magazine, she usually posts about “beauty & fashion companies.”

Young has also entered the world of podcasting in March 2020. Young & her fellow model Jessica Hall host Flashbacks, where they discuss their days at the Playboy mansion & other memories. The show appears to be popular among fans with a 4.9 rating on Apple Podcasts, so Flashbacks might last a while longer for the former model.
