See what the cast of ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ are up to now
The dystopian blockbuster everyone’s been waiting for, A Quiet Place Part II, is finally out after the real life-dystopian blockbuster of the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the movie back for over a year. Now audiences are flooding theaters to see what John Krasinski has up his sleeve for the next installment of his hit movie.
Now that the reviews are in and fans have gotten the satisfying sequel they’ve been waiting for since 2018, A Quiet Place fans are wondering what the cast of A Quiet Place Part II has been up to since the film wrapped.
John Krasinski
Director & star John Krasinski has been done with A Quiet Place Part II for over a year, and fans are wondering what the man behind the blockbuster series has been up to since the sequel wrapped.
In March 2020, when A Quiet Place Part II was supposed to drop on audiences, Krasinski created the Some Good News webseries, which he also hosted through the end of 2020.
There hasn’t been any other future projects reported for Krasinski, other than a cameo in the upcoming sci-fi action comedy Free Guy said to come to audiences in August 2021. However, the latest news from the A Quiet Place Part II cast concerns Krasinski’s marriage to castmate Emily Blunt.
Emily Blunt
CNN reported on Monday Amy Schumer praised the new A Quiet Place sequel, although adding she always thought Krasinski & Emily Blunt’s marriage was a publicity stunt.
Krasinski responded in good humor to the statement, commenting “Thank you Amy!… for blowing up our whole marriage spot” on the Schumer’s Instagram post. Despite Amy’s post, Blunt has projects of her own regardless of her celebrity marriage.
While Blunt appeared in Some Good News after A Quiet Place wrapped in 2020, she has also been working on her starring role in Jungle Cruise, a Disney action-adventure flick said to drop in theaters in July. Blunt has been busy since A Quiet Place Part II finished production, but she isn’t the only member of the cast who has had work to do since.
Cillian Murphy
Since being a star member of the A Quiet Place Part II cast, Cillian Murphy continued to perfect his craft over 2020, starring in a short film All Of This Unreal Time, which drops on audiences this July, coming from director Aoife McArdle.
Furthermore, Murphy is reported to voice Dad in the upcoming animated feature Kensuke’s Kingdom, which Screen Daily reports moved into production in September 2020. However, there is no release date as of yet for the upcoming picture.
Millicent Simmonds
After A Quiet Place Part II was pushed back in March 2020, breakout star Millicent Simmonds pivoted to activism during her time away from cameras amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
This past December, Seventeen named Simmonds one of their Voices of the Year 2020, detailing her humanitarian work, which includes helping design a clear mask during the pandemic to allow deaf people to read lips while masked up. Simmonds has no upcoming film projects announced as of June 2021.
Noah Jupe
Noah Jupe was sent right into the spotlight after joining the cast of A Quiet Place in 2018, and after various successful ventures like 2019’s Ford v Ferrari, returned for A Quiet Place Part II. However, reports show he’s been busy since the sequel was set to first release in March 2020.
Jupe has spent his time working on the upcoming film No Sudden Move set to drop on audiences this July. The Steven Soderbergh-directed thriller will place Jupe among legends Don Cheadle, Ray Liotta, and Benicio del Toro in what is sure to be another blowout for the young actor. No Sudden Move is scheduled to hit streaming on HBO Max on July 1st 2021.
