Judi Dench calls ‘Cats’ film a waste of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s goodwill and talent

Variety reports that in her forthcoming memoir “Is It Too Late to Make a Run For It?,” Judi Dench discusses her role as Old Deuteronomy in Tom Hooper’s “Cats” and reflects on the film that received universal criticism.

The 2019 movie adapted Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hugely successful musical of the same name, and Dench described the project as a waste of the composer’s goodwill and talent.
