Janelle James will host Critics Choice Awards

Variety reports that the actress and comedian, known for her role as Ava Coleman on “Abbott Elementary,” has been selected to emcee the ceremony.

She received five consecutive Emmy nominations for the performance and was named one of the outlet’s 10 Comics to Watch in 2020.
