Jakarta governor opens film summit with regional hub pitch

Variety reports that Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo opened the Jakarta Film Summit 2026 on Tuesday by pitching the Indonesian capital as a regional film hub.

The governor made the case that the city is equipped to draw more shoots, filmmakers and investors from across the region.
