Frémaux hails model as Bruel vows to fight at CNC anniversary

According to Variety, the CNC, France’s National Film Board, celebrated its 80th anniversary during a three-day gathering of industry leaders in Paris that featured Cannes Film Festival chief Thierry Frémaux.

Fremaux praised the country’s unique film funding system.

CNC president Gaëtan Bruel warned against attempts to dismantle a model that has helped make France a global cinema powerhouse.
