Clayface debut weekend lands at No. 1 with $10.4 million

Variety reports that the new release generated $10.4 million from 3,458 North American theaters on Friday.

Audiences turned out for the gory, nightmare-inducing origin story of the Batman supervillain even though Clayface represented a considerably nicher choice for a feature film than DC’s Supergirl and Superman.

You Can See Everything added $6.14 million on Friday.
