Boys Noize releases ‘7LLVSION’ today

Boys Noize frames 7LLVSION as a break from the algorithmic era’s recursive subcultural loops, where linear time collapses into endless revivals. The twelve-track LP, released today, delivers a forward-looking vision that mixes past and future elements with momentum to escape the perpetual present.

The album caps a year of close work with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Ridha joined the Nine Inch Nails Peel It Back world tour, co-produced the TRON: Ares soundtrack including its GRAMMY-winning single “As Alive As You Need Me To Be,” and launched the NINE INCH NOIZE project with a headline Coachella set.

Opening track “Illusion” begins with the artist’s signature vocoder announcing the title before a half-time kick-snare pattern carries buzzing, detuned oscillators at 140 bpm. The following “1+1+1” features Dutch artist ZEP’s punk vocals over a step-sequenced bass line. These motorik “arp storms,” nodding to EBM act DAF, recur on the Brutalismus 3000 collaboration “Nächstenliebe,” where half-time dirges accelerate alongside German shouts.

Ridha selected tracks only if he could play every song in a live set. “Take Me Out” stands out for its Mississippi blues shuffle that converts techno audiences into scenes of bikers and cowgirls; layered synths fill the space and create an unexpected yet familiar cadence that shifts crowd energy.

International guests prevent stylistic repetition. Brazil’s Adame DJ contributes to the Volt Mix-driven “Baile DF.” Post-Soviet electro-punk group Locked Club supplies high-pressure sub-bass on “Wake Me Up.” Abra and Venezuelan producer Safety Trance appear on the dembow-dustrial “I Need Luv,” while Argentine rapper TAICHU features on the analogue stepper “Shut It Down.”

Penultimate track “Ycore” pairs Arabic vocals from Mayah Alkhateri with Coldwave bass, Robin Guthrie-style guitar strums, and a she’s-a-maniac beat above 150 bpm. Sidechained poly-saw pads evoke trance at the end of the world, combining elements that produce pure frisson rather than routine dopamine hits.

Alex Ridha has built a career bridging genres while remaining independent. He has worked with A$AP Rocky, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Arca, Virgil Abloh, Lady Gaga, and Brutalismus 3000; remixed Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, and Tame Impala; and scored films including Snowden. He co-founded Octave Minds with Chilly Gonzales and performs as Dog Blood with Skrillex. The 2025–2026 Nine Inch Nails dates and TRON project led to the NINE INCH NOIZE debut.

Through Boysnoize Records and the newer ONES and ZEROS imprint, Ridha continues to champion emerging global talent from both the Global North and South.

7LLVSION arrives November 6, 2026 via ONES and ZEROS. Upcoming dates include OBSIDIAN in Phoenix on November 6, BergHAIN in Berlin on December 18 with Brutalismus 3000, RADAR Festival in Perth on December 28, and Lollapalooza Argentina, Chile, and Brasil in March.
