Boy George song ‘We Will Dance Again’ honors Nova victims
On October 28, 2026, global icon Boy George releases his new single ‘We Will Dance Again’ via Warner Music Group/ADA. The track stands as a tribute to the victims of the attack at Israel’s Nova Music Festival.
Boy George wrote the song after visiting the Nova Musical Festival Exhibition in London. The powerful track functions as a song of remembrance for the innocent lives lost in the October 7, 2023 attack while also expressing solidarity with Jewish people. The artist intends the single to deliver messages of peace, compassion and unity alongside a reminder of the devastating loss of lives.
Boy George stated: “I wrote ‘We Will Dance Again’ after visiting the Nova festival exhibition in London, which compounded the horror of October 7. Meeting the parents of victim Jake Marlow and survivor May Hayat, I felt compelled to speak up, and the song was born. I always feel I express myself best in my music. I have known and loved people who are Jewish all my life and I feel strongly that the narrative about October 7, especially among my fellow musicians, is very one-sided, and I felt I needed to address it by highlighting what happened on that day. All loss of innocent lives is tragic and horrific. I support anyone calling for peace and I believe my song is doing exactly that. The most important line in the song to me is: ‘If you are confused, I stand with the Jews.’ That is not a political statement or political opinion, as Judaism is a religion, and not a government, but right now, with the rise is antisemitism, it feels like a very important thing to say.”
After a string of UK Top 10 singles with Culture Club, including the number-one hits ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’ and ‘Karma Chameleon’, Boy George launched a successful solo career and established himself as an internationally renowned DJ performing around the world.
Transcending generations across more than four decades of global success, Boy George has sold an estimated 150 million records worldwide. He has won a Grammy Award and become a trailblazer for individuality and self-expression, conquering the worlds of pop, fashion and club culture.
In May, Boy George received a lifetime achievement award at the British LGBT Awards, which celebrates and champions the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community.
This November, Boy George will perform two sold-out shows at Tel Aviv’s Menora Mivtachim Arena on November 4 and November 7. The concerts represent a special occasion for his many Israeli fans, whether they agree with the government or not. His decision to perform in Israel offers an opportunity to connect with audiences through music regardless of agreements or disagreements with their country’s political leadership.
Following the Israel dates, Boy George will embark on a UK arena tour with Culture Club ahead of next year’s 45th anniversary of their iconic debut album ‘Kissing to Be Clever’. The schedule lists December 7 at Bournemouth International Centre (sold out), December 8 at Cardiff Utilita Arena, December 10 at Manchester AO Arena, December 11 at Liverpool M&S Bank Arena, December 12 at Leeds First Direct Bank Arena, December 13 at Newcastle Utilita Arena, December 15 at Glasgow OVO Hydro, December 17 at Sheffield Utilita Arena, December 18 at Birmingham Utilita Arena and December 19 at London The O2.
