Idris Elba has Coronavirus: His best shirtless scenes for your quarantine
We are heartbroken to report that Idris Elba has Coronavirus. This pandemic is quarantining everything we love, from Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson to Chrisitan Ronaldo to our beloved Idris Elba. We have already created a lineup of Idris Elba movies that we plan to hunker down, in our own social isolation to binge-watch, as one does in a pandemic.
As we work our way through everything from Hobbs and Shaw to Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls, we remembered all of our favorite scenes from the long list of Idris Elba movies. Somehow, he’s shirtless in all of them. What a strange coincidence!
We have gathered here today to share the views. After binging Idris Elba’s best shirtless movie moments, we can all agree that this fine specimen of a man is definitely otherwise very healthy.
No Good Deed (2014)
We started out strong with Sam Miller’s psychological thriller, No Good Deed, while not the best known Idris Elba movie, we couldn’t forget this shower scene. In No Good Deed, Elba plays the dangerous Colin Evans, who escapes from prison and charms his way into an unsuspecting Atlanta woman’s home. We never blamed you, Taraji P. Henson!
Fighter (2017)
In 2017 the Discovery Channel produced the documentary, Idris Elba: Fighter. This Idris Elba movie follows his 12-month kickboxing and mixed martial arts training under Muay Thai coach Kieran Keddle.
The training all leads up to Elba’s first professional kickboxing fight against Lionel Graves, a younger, more experienced Dutch opponent. If you missed this one, go ahead and watch it now!
The Mountain Between Us (2017)
Idris Elba and Kate Winslet get it on in The Mountain Between Us, Hany Abu-Assad’s 2017 drama about a neurosurgeon (Elba) and a photojournalist (Winslet) who are the sole survivors of a plane crash in Utah’s wilderness.
Inevitably, they end up getting down and dirty, who can blame them? This Idris Elba movie gets some serious steam building in those snowy mountains.
Cats (2019)
What? Idris Elba is definitely not wearing a shirt here. Sadly, we can’t actually recommend you watch Idris Elba’s turn as Macavity in the film based on Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Cats. Unless you are feeling passionate about getting in a little hate-watch.
100 Streets (2016)
Consider this a peace offering after forcing you to scroll past Cats. Idris Elba’s movie, 100 Streets is Jim O’Hanlon’s British drama that intertwines three different London stories. Elba plays Max, a former celebrity rugby player who is struggling to keep his marriage together.
Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
In David Leitch’s Hobbs & Shaw, Idris Elba plays villain Brixton Lore, a cyber-genetically enhanced terrorist. This actually explains it all. There’s no way that someone as magnificent as Idris Elba can be a mere human. We hope that’s true, and that Idris Elba is back making our hearts pound in movies for years to come.
