Amber Heard has reportedly left Hollywood and the bank is one of the reasons why? Take a look at what her wallet looks like now!

Did Amber Heard leave Hollywood because her net worth is near zero?

Could Amber Heard be trading Hollywood glamour for a quiet life in Spain? According to various reports, the Texas-born actress and model, whose net worth is estimated to be about $500,000 as of May 2023, has decided to step away from the Hollywood scene following a series of legal battles with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

What exactly did all of that do to the money in her bank, despite what she now has to pay Johnny? Let’s take a look at the facts as they are today.

The numbers

Heard’s net worth took a significant hit after a defamation trial against Depp in 2022, where she was ordered to pay $15 million in damages. While some sources estimated her net worth to be around $2.5 million before the trial, the hefty settlement has likely resulted in a significant decrease in her fortune.

Heard’s father, David Heard, on the other hand, seems to be doing well financially with a reported net worth of $4.5 million as of 2023. But all the money in the world can’t shield one from the glaring spotlight and the fallout of a high-profile legal battle.

New serenity?

In what seems to be a quest for a quieter, more serene life, Amber Heard, best known for her role in Aquaman, has reportedly moved to Spain. The relocation was to focus on raising her daughter, Oonagh, born via surrogate in 2021. A source told the Daily Mail that Heard, who is bilingual in Spanish, is content in Spain, raising her daughter away from the constant noise and scrutiny that comes with Hollywood fame.

However, her fans need not despair. The source also mentioned that while Heard is in no hurry to return to the film industry, she may come back when the time and project are right.

The downfall

The decision to move to Spain didn’t come out of the blue. It follows a tumultuous period marked by a high-profile defamation dispute with Depp, which forced Heard to sell her Los Angeles home to finance the legal proceedings.

The former couple was embroiled in a six-week trial over an op-ed Heard wrote in 2018, in which she identified herself as a victim of domestic violence. Depp, a Pirates of the Caribbean star, won more than $10 million in damages after succeeding in three defamation claims.

Heard, on the other hand, was awarded $2 million after winning one of her countersuit claims. The pair eventually reached an agreement, with Heard’s insurance company paying $1 million to Depp to put an end to the case.

Following the settlement, Depp announced his plans to donate the money to charity, while Heard released a statement on Instagram, expressing her decision to settle and her lost faith in the American legal system.

A New Chapter

Amber Heard’s journey from Hollywood to Spain, from a high-profile trial to raising her daughter away from the limelight, is a stark example of how quickly fortunes can change and how challenging the pursuit of truth can be.

As she embarks on this new chapter in her life, one can’t help but wonder: will this move provide the peace she seeks? And how will this experience shape her future endeavors, both in her personal life and her career?
