Prepare for Heart-Pounding Suspense in ‘The Forest Hills
Get ready for a spine-tingling experience with the anticipated horror-thriller, ‘The Forest Hills‘. From writer-director Scott Goldberg, the film stars Shelley Duvall, making her long-awaited return to the screen after 20 years, alongside a talented cast including Edward Furlong, Chiko Mendez, and Dee Wallace.
In the film, Rico (Mendez) is plagued by nightmarish visions after suffering head trauma while camping in the Catskill Mountains. But when Billy (Furlong) convinces him to embrace his disturbing beliefs, Rico is plunged even deeper into despair.
Produced by Scott Hansen, Dreznick Goldberg Productions, and Digital Thunderdome Studios, with Goldberg serving as co-producer, ‘The Forest Hills’ is a gripping, suspenseful journey into the darkest depths of the human psyche.
“We are huge fans of horror classics like ‘The Shining’, ‘Halloween’, and ‘Day of the Dead’, and we wanted to capture that same sense of unease and terror in ‘The Forest Hills'”, said Goldberg. “Shelley’s performance in ‘The Shining’ was a masterclass in fear and horror, and we’re thrilled to have her on board to bring her incredible talent to this project.”
Duvall, a screen icon known for her work with esteemed filmmakers such as Robert Altman, Woody Allen, Stanley Kubrick, Terry Gilliam, and Steven Soderbergh, takes on the role of Rico’s mother, serving as his inner voice throughout the film.
Joining Duvall is Edward Furlong, best known for his roles in ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ and ‘American History X’. Furlong plays Billy, a character who leads Rico down a dark path of terror and despair.
Chiko Mendez, who portrays the tormented Rico, delivers a powerful performance that captures the character’s descent into madness. Dee Wallace, known for her roles in horror classics like ‘The Howling’ and ‘Cujo’, also stars in the film as a key character. Also, part of the cast is Marianne Hagan, Felissa Rose and Stacey Nelken.
The Forest Hills has already received high praise from pre screenings and promises to be an exciting new addition to the horror-thriller genre.
