Learn all about the Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival

Hollywood is called the city of dreams for a reason. Artists from all over the world flock to this capital of creativity and art to follow their dreams. No matter where someone is from, what language they speak, film and TV are the great equalizers. The Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival tries to capture the spirit of Hollywood in its selections each year.

Now in its fourth year, the Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival, taking place July 23rd through August 2nd in Las Vegas, brings in visitors from around the world to celebrate. With one of the most diverse groups of categories on the festival circuit today, nearly every medium is represented during the festival.

No matter your style, there is a category for you

If your work is more in the traditional sense, like a short, full feature, or documentary, you’re welcome to enter the Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival. But if you only have a trailer, artwork, storyboards, or sequences, you qualify to enter the festival as well. Even if your work isn’t film related, like a poem, song lyrics, photography, or music, you can submit your work into the festival.

A film has several moving parts, so it’s important that more than just the director and actors get recognition.

You’re treated like royalty

This is easily the best festival just to enter, let alone win. The Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival is ready to give you your entry fees’ worth and more when you submit your work to the festival. Along with free entry to the week and a half long festival, the HDIFF also makes sure you have access to all mixers, symposiums, Q&As, guest speakers, and other events during the festival week.

By the time you leave, you’ll also be given a goodie bag with plenty of resources for up and coming filmmakers. On top of all that, when you walk the red carpet to your film’s screening, HDIFF will interview you, and then after the festival, send you said interview to use as promo on your website or social media. Forget just a networking opportunity, you get plenty just for getting picked. The prizes only get better from here if you make it to the top.

More than three months to go

With a late July/early August premiere, you still have time to put something together for the festival. While the regular deadline (and cheapest entry fees) end March 31st, the final deadline isn’t until July 1st. Don’t be afraid to submit parts of your film for each category too. Give your poster designer some recognition and submit them alongside your film. If you directed a friend’s music video, submit the song by itself.

The Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival is more than just your average film festival. It’s a celebration of worldwide art and marksmanship. Your art is something that deserves to be seen in the right light, and the HDIFF makes sure your light fits your project. This isn’t a festival for filmmakers, this is a festival for auteurs.
