The Cannes Film Awards invites to the screening and presents the jury!

After three years of organizing the film festival in villas near Cannes, this year it will be screened directly in the cinema. The event will take place on May 11, 2024, at the Variétés Movie Theatre.

ALL FILMS FROM THE OFFICIAL SELECTION WILL BE SHOWN. The selection of films will be decided by the Head of Juries, specifically:

James Pratt (Australia) is an award-winning actor and film director, recipient of various international film awards. He also won the Cannes Film Awards 2022 in the category of Best Director for Feature Film. James became a Fellow of the Australian Directors Association in 2011. With a strong acting background, James started his career studying at the prestigious acting school, NIDA in Sydney, before landing guest roles on hit TV shows like Home & Away and Freemantle Media’s Wonderland. Since then, James has worked in Hollywood alongside figures like Quentin Tarantino, Sam Worthington, and Cindy Cowan.

Tatiana Dutu-Saute (Germany), a graduate of Vancouver Film School with a diploma in 2D Animation, also holds a Fine Arts degree from Toulon – CEAP (Plastic Art Study Certificate) with a specialization in art. She directed the movie “Lucie” and worked as an animator for the movie “Mystic Melee”. Her film Lucie won last year’s Cannes Film Awards 2023.

Bonnie Sithebe (South Africa) is an award-winning director and producer. She founded Durban Motion Pictures 15 years ago and has produced numerous large-scale films screened on several national broadcasters. She has also created over 30 highly successful television films. She holds an international production certificate and, through mentoring, supports, encourages, challenges, and guides the next generation of filmmakers.

This year, we have received more than 3000 submitted projects from 124 countries worldwide. The best films in the categories of short film, feature film, student film, and music video will win the GOLDEN PIER main prize.
