They Are Chatty

Poker is a game of silence. When you play it in person, you can easily see who the nervous players are. They simply talk a lot during the game. But, how do you know which players are chatty when you play online? Most online casino establishments have a chat option.

That means that players can chat with each other while playing the game. The experienced players don’t use this option because they know silence is golden. Rookies, however, find the chat option interesting and they simply want to provoke the other players. If a person is chatty during the game, they are definitely a rookie.

They Bet Too Much When They Have Good Cards

One of the things most rookies do is they bet too much when they get good cards. They simply get too eager because they know they are in a good position to win the hand. But, betting too much is a dead giveaway.

If you see a person betting too much before the showdown, that means they are a rookie who is too eager to win the hand. They are usually not bluffing and that means that you should fold. Unless, of course, you don’t have good cards.

They Don’t Go To Showdown

If you ever played poker you know that the showdown is the most interesting part. That is why it’s called the showdown. However, one of the main characteristics of rookies is that they usually don’t go to showdown.

They are willing to bet, but if the other players don’t fold, they simply don’t have the guts to go to the showdown. If you see a player at your table that displays that type of behavior, you can assume that he or she is a rookie. That will make things a lot easier for you.
