William Shakespeare Biography

William Shakespeare is one of those famous actors and writers of the English language who has achieved worldwide recognition for his best-known works including As You Like It, King Lear and Hamlet. 

William Shakespeare was actually born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England in 1564.

Nobody is really sure when he was actually born, although do understand that he was baptized on the same day as King Henry II. In 1582, he married Anne Hathaway and they had three children. William Shakespeare became very famous after his death and continues to be seen at special events all around the world.

His Life

The birth date of William Shakespeare is not exactly clear. Some sources mention that the real William Shakespeare was a tenant of the executor’s office in Stratford-upon-Avon for a short while and then for the last 10 years of his life lived in Venice. William Shakespeare trivia indicates that the real William Shakespeare did not write any of the plays that are now known as the works of William Shakespeare.

However, some famous lines of the English poet were actually written by the playwright. One famous example of this is the quote from the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In this play the king of England dreams that he is being murdered, but he knows that it is only a dream.

The influence of the playwright was great because of his ability to draw strong characters, which made him a highly respected playwright in England and in Europe in general. During those ten years, William Shakespeare (the name is actually taken from the playwright himself) created or contributed to the creation of numerous works including “The Merchant of Venice”, “Titus Andronicus”, “Othello”, “A Midsummer’s Night Dream”,” Romeo and Juliet”, “King Lear”, “Hamlet”, “Othello”, “Macbeth”, and “As You Like It”. 

He also worked on the plays “King Lear”, “Macbeth”, “Midsummer’s Night Dream”,” comedies”, and dramas such as “As You Like It”. William Shakespeare also wrote the play “Othello”, which was later made into an opera by Costa del Sol. The play Othello later became the inspiration for the later work of T.S. Eliot in the later years.
