HBO series “Warrior” adds Toronto actress Chelsea Muirhead

As an emerging star in the film industry, Chelsea Muirhead is proud to represent Toronto’s diverse and talented community on the global stage. She is especially looking forward to the 2023 festival season, including the Tribeca, Toronto, Venice Film, and Cannes Film Festivals. Chelsea sees the opportunity to support and uplift other emerging filmmakers and actors in her city as a privilege and is eager to see what the season will bring. 

Chelsea is also thrilled to be part of the highly-anticipated HBO series ‘Warrior.’ The series is set in 19th-century San Francisco and tells the story of a Chinese-American warrior who must confront racism and prejudice.

The Toronto native is passionate about the importance of happiness and is inspired by the opportunity to help change how society views ‘good and bad’ through her acting. She is grateful for the chance to use her platform to bring light to such an important message while also giving back to her hometown. Chelsea is a proud community supporter and enjoys connecting with her roots. 

Filipino-Scottish actor Chelsea Muirhead discovered her passion for acting during high school. Subsequently, she enrolled in the Ryerson Theatre School to hone her acting skills for film and theatre. During her four-year stint in theatre school, Chelsea had the opportunity to act in various plays, namely “King Lear” with her portrayal of Regan and “Featuring Loretta” as the character Loretta.

She has already won the hearts of audiences across the country with her breakout role as Jill in the Andrew Hunt-directed horror/thriller “Spare Parts.” With her talent, ambition, and dedication to her craft, she is sure to become one of Canada’s most beloved actors in the years to come starting with the HBO series “Warrior.”
