Top 5 Muscle Cars Of All Times

For the longest time, Americans have been in awe of muscle cars. Ranging from vintage and classics to the newer models of the car beats, the auto enthusiasts are in love with the bravado and power that these cars deliver. It’s safe to say that muscle cars are critical to American pop culture, and the best ones had their origins in the 1970s and 1980s. These muscle cars are known for the top-notch torque that lays on the short-run tracks as well as the horsepower of top-notch engines. So, to tell you more, we are sharing the top five muscle cars of all time!

1968 Chevrolet Corvette L88

Known as the bone-fide and home-grown sports car, this is a two-seat car that might not be labeled the muscle bag by American enthusiasts. However, to the rest of the world, there is a big block V8 engine in this car, along with the affordable price tag that makes it a promising choice. Chevrolet Corvette arrived back in 1968 when the muscle car era was spiking, and it was primarily designed for racing purposes. It has 430bhp horsepower, but the refurbished models spiked up to 550bhp.

Some upgrades also have the heavy-duty four-speed manual gearing system, updated suspension, and brakes, and doesn’t have the heater, radio, or air-con.

2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat

As the title suggests, this muscle car was launched in 2015 and boasts a horsepower of 707bhp, which is pretty shocking yet pleasant. Having said that, it is clear that this muscle car has more power as compared to the supercar, and not to forget, it is integrated with the paddle-oriented eight-speed gear system with automatic configuration. To illustrate, the car will achieve a top-notch speed of 60mph within 3.6 seconds. Topping it all, it is an affordable choice that has a price tag of $64,000.

The company has made “Demon,” a limited-run car that achieved the horsepower of 829bhp and had racing tires with two keys.

1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird

If you are done with drag racing and traffic light cars, you can opt for the Superbird that delivers the circuit racing features. Designed with the rear wing and pointed wing, this car is meant to drive through the air and make you a winner in the race. In fact, the car was designed in the wind tunnel, but the tall rear wings sure look like they can drive through clean air. However, the height of this car was carefully curated to open up the boot lid.

It is designed with three engines, ranging from horsepower of 375bhp to 425bhp. Topping it all, the aerodynamics of the car helped achieve the cutting-edge speed of 200mph.

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454

This car was designed with the huge 7.5 inches big block V8, which offers a choice of 540bhp as well as 500lb-ft torque. It can easily cover the speed from 0mph to 60mph within five seconds, and it wouldn’t be wrong to call it one of the fastest road cars in the world.

1964 Pontiac GTO

The muscle car was designed to follow the huge displacement of the engine route that used the tuned 6.4-liter V8 engine. The GTO included the three carburetors that provide 348bhp, along with bonnet scoops, wide wheels, updated suspension, and a four-speed manual gear system. Topping it all, it’s as affordable as $4,500.
