Watch ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ break records again
K.G.F: Chapter 2 arrived in theaters in April 2022 as a large-scale Kannada-language period action film directed by Prashanth Neel. The story follows Rocky, played by Yash, as he consolidates power in the gold-mining region of Kolar while facing rivals and authorities. The film runs two hours and forty-six minutes and carries a Not Rated classification.
From its opening weekend onward the movie posted record numbers across India and overseas markets. Distributors reported strong advance bookings in multiple states and languages, and the title quickly became the highest-grossing Kannada film to date. Worldwide collections settled in the ₹1200–1250 crore range, a figure that placed it among the top Indian releases of its year.
Box Office Performance and Legacy
Trade analysts noted that K.G.F: Chapter 2 posted the second-highest opening day in India at the time of its release. The film’s pan-Indian dubbed versions helped it reach audiences outside traditional Kannada circuits, and its earnings continued to climb through summer reruns and festival screenings. The numbers underscored how a regional production could cross language barriers and still dominate national charts.
