We work with amazing, storied clients, and emerging technologies & agencies. We focus on: fandoms, conventions, community, reboots, streaming, web series, alternative distribution and indie film festivals. We are a new media startup aiming to disrupt the film distribution and production industries.

The Gig

We are looking for a versatile, hard-working Events & Project Manager to join our team. 

You possess:

  • Typing speed of 45 WPM or more
  • Working knowledge of iOS
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Trello, Excel, and Element 
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, such as Scrum & Agile
  • Great interpersonal skills 
  • Operations, administration, and customer service experience
  • Desire to work in the film industry OR film biz experience
  • Desire to work at a fast-paced startup
  • Can-do attitude
  • Strong sense of self
  • Great time-management skills
  • Both organization and strong attention to detail
  • Love for the internet: you live on the internet
  • Experience working with company director(s) previously
  • Understanding of ERP implementation
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes

Core Tasks

Event Production:

  • Oversee and supervise preproduction logistics planning, onsite execution, as well as post-event wrap up
  • Ensure proper documentation protocols are followed
  • Work with the operations team to recruit personnel
  • Work with the production team on equipment and technical specifications
  • Ensure setup and working order of all audio-visual equipment
  • Arrange & attend site visits & equipment tests
  • Interface with CEO and creative team to develop ideas
  • Generate and implement plans for idea execution
  • Maintain & build client relationships to a high standard
  • Work with other departments to determine requirements for events and maximize income 
  • Minimize costs while maintaining high standard in production values, health and safety, and client satisfaction
  • Manage & reconcile total event budget 
  • Source and manage suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations 
  • Attend weekly sales, production, and ops meetings as required
  • Manage deliverables and timelines associated with event plan
  • Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities
  • Cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize events
  • Proactively handle issues & troubleshoot any emerging problems on event days
  • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes
  • Research market; identify event opportunities and generate interest 


  • Interface with operations department to manage event personnel & resources
  • Create & manage Trello boards
  • Calendar management
  • Coordinate development of training materials
  • Create & maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Interface with management team & CEO daily 
  • Update internal databases
  • Identify and resolve issues & risks
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects on deck
  • Interface with service providers
  • Work with accounting manager to administer invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Create budgets and project schedules
  • Work with production, sales, and marketing teams to coordinate & implement plans of action
  • Arrange travel accommodations and process expense reports
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to help solve clerical issues
  • Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
