Cricket Betting Related Movies In Bollywood

Bollywood, as well as cricket, have gone together through the years. These two fields are the only ones people admire and strive for, and some would like to become actors while others are keen to become cricketers.

The Bollywood industry isn’t only focused on romantic films and dramas. From the beginning of Indian Cinema, drama, suspense, and exciting films have also been incorporated.

Cricket has always been a well-known topic since the beginning of time, and Bollywood has produced films about the sport that is the favorite of Indians.

A film such as Lagaan was a big hit because it dealt with the issue of colonization in India with amazing success.

The audience loved every moment, and the film is still watched after all these years since the script and acting were executed excellently. Lagaan has also been nominated for Oscars under the category Best Foreign Film.

Many other films were also well-received by the audience. However, the recognition that Lagaan achieved was unparalleled. The films such as Iqbal, Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni Untold Story, Azahar, Chain Khuli Ki Main Khuli, Do Doni Chaar, Sachin the Million Dreams, Patiala House, etc. are entertaining and enjoyable films about cricket.

They were, however, not focused on betting on cricket because some were afraid to expose this issue to the world. Also, directors from the past might have believed that the subject would not be popular with the public.

Jannat

The subject matter was brought to the screen of Bollywood by the Bhatts known as Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt. Industry veterans who aren’t unwilling to push the boundaries face controversial subjects.

However, the Bhatts that were driving this film director’s tasks were handed over to the debutant director, Kunal Deshmukh. In the same way, the screenplay and script were composed by debutants, also Vishesh Bhatt and screenplay Kunal Deshmukh and Vishesh Bhatt. We believe that this is quite remarkable as the finished result was far superior to what we expected it to be.

Yes, the film begins slowly, in the beginning, with the film focusing more on the romance story rather than the real-life act of betting on cricket. In fairness, it inflicts a disservice on the audience to not include an element of romance in the film.

But, when Arjun (Emraan Hashmi) connects with the person he has always wanted to be with, Zoya (Sonal Chauhan) is when the world goes to war. The character transforms from an amateur gambler to one who hopes to become a major bookie with the hope of showering Zoya with all she hopes for.

Arjun seeking fame also chooses to take an even bigger step into his career in cricket betting, going from player to bookie to an all-out match-fixer. The good thing is, you don’t need to be a cricket enthusiast to be a follower of the story.

The language employed to explain fixing and betting is fairly straightforward. The best part of this film is the interactions between Arjuna and other cricketers and the speed at which it becomes a major issue to the protagonist.

Cricket Betting in India

We believe that the film has done a great job highlighting the bad aspects associated with ipl betting in India. Match-fixing has always damaged cricketers from the subcontinent.

Mohammad Azharuddin and Salim Malik, both ex-Indian and Pakistani captains, respectively, were banned from playing because of being involved in fixing matches. Although the sport has changed since their bans, the dark cloud of match-fixing lingers over the game.

We think that Jannat is one of the films worth taking the time to watch. However, it starts in a rather slow manner and offers little new information at the start; however, the stakes get increased shortly afterward.

Emraan Hashmi has performed well in playing the lead role, and it’s awe-inspiring that the actor is placed at the bottom of the Bollywood ranking despite such amazing performances. The less that is about the heroine, the more positive.

Sonal Chauhan isn’t to blame, but her part in this film is to offer the viewer a visual feast that works; however, it is not much else. Jawed Sheikh is a veteran Pakistani actor who is an absolute star, as is it ideal to have other actors from Pakistan entering Bollywood films.

Overall, Jannat is a well-made film that has a captivating storyline. Due to the growing, rising popularity of cricket and betting on cricket online in India, we are hoping that more films on the issue will be produced shortly. Perhaps this is something Shahrukh Khan should look into to revitalize his career?
