SOLIS is a multi-division company that seeks to create a self-sustaining and environmentally-friendly NFT ecosystem through both decentralized and traditional forms of revenue. They are the first company to utilize Polygon blockchain technology in the entertainment industry.
The company consists of SOLIS Studio, HMBLHouse and SOLIS Labs. SOLIS Studio is the sector that focuses on feature films, while HMBLHouse is the division that allows for meaningful content through live broadcasting and a diverse array of platforms, such as Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, to name a few.

SOLIS, Inc was founded by Brett Claywell, and Brendan de Kauwe. The pair both have over two decades worth of experience in the entertainment industry. Currently, Claywell serves as the CEO of HMBLHouse, which he launched in 2019 due to the projected increase in digital entertainment because of the COVID-19 pandemic, while De Kauwe holds the position of CEO of SOLIS Labs.
Having grown up in North Carolina, naturally Claywell attended North Carolina State University. He graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a minor in Theater. Soon after graduation, he was launched into the world of acting. Now, Claywell has been a prominent figure in Hollywood for years, having been casted in a wide variety of popular films and TV shows such as CW’s One Tree Hill and ABC’s One Life to Live. He also has experience in directing and producing live broadcasts for well-known celebrities on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer.
Additionally, Claywell has an interest in gaming; in 2014 he co-founded Tiltify, the leading P2P resource for live streamers to donate to charity by way of crowdfunding. Previously, he held the role of Chief Content Officer for revealit, a company focused on providing various interactive viewing options for consumers. Claywell’s interest and background in non-traditional storytelling provides the chance for a fresh take on the entertainment industry through SOLIS.
De Kauwe has an extensive educational background in various fields, receiving undergraduate degrees in Physiology, Pharmacology, Dental Surgery, and Post Graduate diplomas in Oral Surgery, Implantology, Applied Finance, Sound Engineering, and Multimedia. Over the last decade, de Kauwe has worked in the finance and investments industries, focusing on venture capital, M&A, IPOs, ICOs, among others. In addition to being the CEO of SOLIS Labs, de Kauwe has been employed at Ookami, a blockchain venture company. He is also known for being a talented producer and digital artist, having won numerous awards. De Kauwe has performed at major music events in Australia, has worked alongside Grammy Award Winning producers. He also has gained international support; he was a finalist in a US Song Writing Competition and Music Oz Awards. Other notable achievements include formerly or currently serving as Director/Chairman of several biotech companies such as Race Oncology, Actinogen Medical (ACW), and G Medical Innovations Holdings (NASDAQ).
Since SOLIS’ launch, the multi-division company has fulfilled their mission of creating meaningful content. In 2020, HMBLHouse hosted various livestream script reads for beloved movies such as “The Rocky Horror Show,” “Fright Night” and “Dazed and Confused.” Over 100 of the original movie actors participated, playing their respective roles. These events successfully raised both awareness and donations for a variety of noteworthy issues. In fact, it was so well received that Jake Tapper of CNN stated it was “The most impressive use of Hollywood we’ve ever seen.”
Another example of SOLIS’ dedication to their vision occurred in late 2021 with the collaboration of Da Poetry Lounge, America’s oldest open mic poetry lounge. This partnership allowed for the first ever poetry TV broadcast. The broadcast, called Fox Soul Christmas Special, featured some of the most gifted and successful poets in modern history, such as Rudy Francisco, Bluz Rogers, Kito Fortune, PoeticMoment, Rosario Dawson, and Aloe Blacc.
SOLIS has also established impressive partnerships with a wide variety of brands, charities, and other companies in order to expand their reach in the entertainment industry and to give back to communities in need. They’ve worked with well-known corporations like Disney, Zoom, iHeartRadio, Facebook, American Red Cross, Microsoft, Philips, Mt Dew, Taco Bell and TikTok, just to name a few.
