It’s about a couple, Jerry and Marge Selbee, who live in Michigan, United States of America.

Jerry worked at a factory for 42 years before going into retirement. At the factory, he worked as a material analyst for the company Kellogg’s. One day during the beginning of his retirement, he was at home reading the paper. With the joined forces of these two powerhouse actors, you can imagine how good the movie is! Of course, there are a few changes that were made to make for a more stimulating movie experience but the writers really tried to keep everything as true to real-life happenings as possible.

One Thing That Could Have Maybe Made it Perform Better

The only avenue within the movie that critics claim could have made it perform better amongst the public is a climax part. Just like how in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Jordan Belfort, played by Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio, eventually had his business fall apart and was sentenced to four years in prison. This adds cinematic value to viewers and gives them a climax to the movie that makes the whole thing all the more exciting.

The fact that what Jerry and Marge were doing was legal and that the writers on the movie did not want to change the story so much or risk diluting the plot by adding a fictional climatic scene, the movie felt a bit more PG. It is of some people’s opinion that adding some legal action or the risk of jail time would have made the movie perform better with that added dramatic value.
