Christina Anstead announces her divorce on Instagram: All the deets
While her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa is crazy in love with his new girlfriend, Christina Anstead is struggling, based on her latest Instagram post. After twenty-one months of marriage, Anstead and her husband Ant are calling it quits.
In a statement on her Instagram, Christina Anstead shared, “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority.” The couple has one child together, while Christina shares two children with her ex Tarek and Ant shares two children with his ex-wife Louise Herbert.
The two seemed picture-perfect on social media, but sources close to the couple say things broke down fairly quickly after their child was born. Let’s dive into the tea between Christina & Ant Anstead.
A surprise pairing and wedding
Christina & Ant Anstead started dating back in October 0f 2017, as Christina was finalizing her divorce from Tarek El Moussa. The two got married in a secret ceremony over a year later in December of 2018.
For a while, Christina & Ant were happy. Plus, Christina found out she was pregnant with their first child together only a month after the wedding, leaving the couple even more excited. According to anonymous sources, their son ended up becoming a huge point of contention for the couple.
Hudson breaks up his parents
When Hudson Anstead was born in September of 2019, sources say that’s where the cracks in Christina and Ant’s relationship began to show. One source told People Magazine, “After the baby, they started having conflicts.”
In particular, “Christina found it difficult to balance everything,” the source shared. Between the baby, her HGTV career, and her other children, Christina failed to make time for her husband. “Their marriage was struggling,” according to the source.
Just like before, though, Christina is keeping the kids her main priority throughout the entire divorce. “She never expected to get a divorce. But she is doing okay and focusing on the kids.”
How is Christina holding up?
If you looked at Christina Anstead’s Instagram, you wouldn’t think anything changed as she’s still posting about her normal routine & her family. Paparazzi photos also show Christina back at work on HGTV’s Flip or Flop filming season 9. Whether or not she’s emotionally okay, Christina is not letting her divorce stop her from working.

While the two are no longer together romantically, Tarek El Moussa & Christina Anstead still host Flip or Flop together on HGTV. Tarek has yet to address Christina’s divorce publicly, but the two are back on set filming season 9 of Flip or Flop.
