‘Wildwood’ director Travis Knight on AI: ‘An amazing piece of technology’ but ‘I’m not embracing it at all’

According to Variety, “Wildwood” director Travis Knight is weighing in on Hollywood’s use of AI while attending AFI Fest’s opening night U.S. premiere of the film on Wednesday.

Knight told Variety he is not embracing the technology at all, even as he described it as an amazing piece of technology.

He framed technology broadly as a tool, noting that Laika uses it in the form of a pencil, a paintbrush and a 3D printer.
