Recognizing his potential as a leader, he transitioned into administration in 2012, taking on the role of assistant principal at Royal High School in Royal City, Washington. He excelled in this position, gaining valuable experience and insights into the workings of a school system. Following his year as an assistant principal, Ellis was promoted to principal, where he served with distinction for three years, further honing his leadership skills and positively impacting the school and its students.
In 2016, Ellis’s career trajectory led him to Lind-Ritzville Cooperative Schools, where he assumed the role of superintendent.
