Promoting Truth and Accuracy: Pakistan Responds to False Accusations on Porn-Watching
[June 11, 2023] – We are issuing this release to address the recent dissemination of misleading information and the need for responsible reporting regarding Pakistan’s position on porn-watching. It has come to our attention that various Indian websites and publications have published articles making false claims about Pakistan’s ranking in terms of porn-watching audience. We strongly object to these baseless allegations and emphasize the importance of accurate and unbiased reporting.
One such article, authored by Surbhi Gupta and published on July 21, 2021, suggests that
Pakistan ranks first among countries with the highest porn-watching audience, citing
information allegedly obtained from Google search engine. We categorically reject these claims in this article as they lack factual evidence and credible sources.
Because the data that we searched out from pornhub and other porn websites completely rejects the article of Surbhi Gupta. And if we look into the real report of Riterline about Most Porn watching countries in which The stats of different sites and Googles clearly shows that Pakistan isn’t even in the list. Furthermore, an article published on June 8, 2023, by Stermy on Townflex perpetuates the misinformation by asserting that Pakistan tops the list of porn-watching countries, which is also unsupported by reliable data.
However, It has been previously stated that Indians are ranked third among countries with high rates of porn consumption. This statistic suggests that pornography is a popular form of entertainment in India. Despite this, it is important to note that there are no laws prohibiting Indians from watching porn in the privacy of their own homes.
As long as individuals engage in such activities privately and within the boundaries of the law, they are free to consume adult content according to their personal preferences. It is crucial, however, to prioritize responsible and ethical consumption of such material, maintaining respect for consent, and ensuring the well-being and safety of all involved parties.
We would like to clarify that Pakistan, like many other nations, has stringent laws and regulations in place to combat the consumption and distribution of explicit content. Since November 2011, the government of Pakistan has taken significant measures to block access to pornography websites, and major platforms are already barred in the country. Any assertion that Pakistan leads in terms of porn-watching ignores these legal provisions and misrepresents the situation.
It is essential to differentiate between unfounded claims and verified information. The reliance on unreliable sources and the absence of verifiable data in these articles mislead readers and damage Pakistan’s reputation. We urge media outlets and individuals to exercise diligence and verify information from credible sources before accepting or sharing it. Responsible journalism is crucial in combating the perpetuation of stereotypes and promoting accurate narratives.
Pakistan, as an Islamic republic, places great importance on moral values and ethics. Discussions regarding sensitive topics should be approached with cultural sensitivity and respect. Generalizing and stigmatizing entire nations based on unverified claims not only spreads misinformation but also hinders efforts to foster understanding and cooperation among countries.
We call upon all media outlets involved, including the Indian websites and Townflex.com, to uphold the principles of ethical reporting and ensure the dissemination of accurate information. It is the responsibility of media organizations to maintain integrity, fact-check information, and present unbiased reporting to their readers as there’s no mention of Pakistan in the reports concluded by the Po*rn Hub itself.
As an organization committed to promoting truth, transparency, and respectful dialogue, we encourage individuals to seek accurate information from credible sources and refrain from participating in the dissemination of misleading content. Let us work together to build a more informed and inclusive society based on facts and mutual understanding.
