Home Depot reported sales increasing an estimated 24% during the third-quarter, compared to a year ago. Home Depot’s annual sales added up to $132.11 billion. It’s main competitor, Lowe’s, reached $89.6 billion in annual sales for the same time period.
The growth is largely attributable to the strong home-improvement trend sent in motion by the pandemic. Richard McPhail, Home Depot’s finance chief, confirmed that “The strong and consistent demand environment we’ve seen over the past nine months has continued into February.”
