Laika PG-13 film is first in 17 years

According to Variety, the MPA’s PG-13 rating for “Wildwood” includes “strong fantasy violence/bloody images, thematic material, suicide-related material, brief partial nudity and language.”

The rating stands out as especially unusual for a stop-motion picture about a girl hunting for her kidnapped baby brother.

It marks the first PG-13 in Laika’s 17 years.
