What character does Keanu Reeves voice in ‘Toy Story 4’?
Calling all Keanu Reeves and Toy Story fans! Toy Story 4 is coming to a screen near you. The film premiered on June 11th, 2019 in Hollywood and the official theatrical release date is June 21st, 2019 for the United States.
Questions on everybody’s minds: “What kind of excitement can the gang get up to this time?”; “Will it be as sad as the last one?”; and “Who does Keanu Reeves do voiceover for?”
To put your mind at ease before you go to the cinema to watch one of the most beloved children’s films, we’ve put together a quick guide to answer your questions.
What to expect from Toy Story 4
You can expect a seemingly similar plot to the first Toy Story, in which Woody has to deal with a difficult new toy. You can expect a lot of laughs, a heartwarming feeling, and a ton of emotions throughout the film.
If you can cast your mind back nine years ago when Toy Story 3 ended, the gang were donated by Andy because he was going to college and wanted another child to enjoy all the fun he had growing up with them.
Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toys got a new owner: a local toddler named Bonnie. The gang and Bonnie are going on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy she makes herself at school called Forky.
The journey takes an unexpected turn when Forky decides he doesn’t want to be a toy because he’s “trash”, only a fork. This makes Woody chase after him in an attempt to ensure Bonnie’s favorite new toy gets back to her safely.
On the way, Woody is reunited with Bo Peep (who wasn’t in Toy Story 3, because she chose to be by herself and live on the road), and they discuss the old days. But the two realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to what the life of a toy means to them.
Soon it becomes clear to Woody, Bo, and Forky: being a toy is the least of their worries. But perhaps Duke Caboom can lend a hand and reunite the gang back together safely.
Who does Keanu Reeves play?
There are around 8,000 actors who are Canadian, including Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogen, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, and Jim Carrey.
Of course we can’t forget Canadian-American actor Keanu Reeves. Keanu is one of the newest cast members to join the Toy Story crew, playing the character of Duke Caboom, a Canadian stuntman toy who rides a motorbike.
In an attempt not to give too much away, we’ll leave you with this one last fact about Keanu Reeves’ character: Duke Caboom calls himself “Canada’s greatest stuntman”.
The wait is over . . .
Toy Story 3 was released nine years ago. Toy Story 4 was supposed to be released back in 2017, but was delayed by two years.
If you’ve been waiting almost a decade to see what happens next to the gang, make sure you don’t miss the fourth film!
