Exclusive Interview With Actress and Content Creator Winnies Jude
Hello Winnies Jude! How are you today?
I’m good.
What exactly do you do for a career?
I’m an actress/content creator.
What was the process for you to find what you wanted to do?
For me it was something I wasn’t sure I wanted to do for life, I have always loved acting and creating content, it came naturally to me but my family was not having it, in my heart I knew this was what I wanted.
I had to run away from home to pursue this part and I’m happy I did.
Acting/creating content gives me peace.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The fact that my job is not boring! I get the opportunity to play different characters, you meet new people, share ideas and you get exposure too. It’s beautiful, never a dull moment with set life.
Can you tell us about your job?
Acting is life, acting is an interpretation of life, you get to interpret so many characters! It’s an adventure; it’s an opportunity to be great in life!
What is your greatest success so far?
being on a few featured movies and I had the opportunity to be on the Johnsons last year, the opportunity was given to me by MR SOLA ROBERTS!… | was really grateful!…. But really success is waking up everyday and getting the opportunity to do what I love and still dreaming and aiming higher from where I previously was. I can’t wait to achieve all the goals I’ve set for myself.
Where did you grow up?
Part of Okene, Kogi state, and part of Benin, Edo state.
Where are you from?
Benin, Edo state Nigeria.
What are some of the challenges you faced along the way?
Everyone already has their community, and acting in Nigeria as a come up is all about communities and finding “your people” I found it difficult to fit in, I’m still finding it difficult but I’m getting the hang of it each day.
What does it take to be a successful Actress?
Constantly trying to get better by working on your craft and working generally to be a better person. You can never be too relaxed, you have to contour to challenge yourself.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Being leads in so many blockbuster projects, in cinemas, Netflix, prime video, in fact all movie streaming platforms. Who knows, maybe even Hollywood (I’m dreaming big) lol. I want my husband by my side then, too lol.
What advice would you give to a young Actress?
Don’t feel like you are alone, we are all in this hustle together, nobody has it figured out.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
ME! I look at myself and my journey, and I just want to be better.
I want to make my mom proud always. I want to bring recognition to the small town she’s from, I want them to know her through me! I want to make her life better, these are things that keep me inspired to keep striving.
Anything else your audience should know?
Beyond all this, you see, I love God, I’m God’s child. I’m what you call a fine girl with talent and Jesus.
