Broadcaster Zina Belgacem Fights Corruption and Bribery in the Journalism Industry

A news network should be the epitome of fairness; they convey the truth and nothing but the truth. Behind the scenes, though, lies another story. Many journalists are involved in corruption and bribery to advance their careers in the news industry’s hierarchical structure, but Broadcaster Zina Belgacem is utilizing her intelligence and skills to get into American journalism purely on her own.

Zina Belgacem is a strong-willed and highly independent woman who had to battle for her way in a male-dominated industry where sexism and nepotism are prevalent. Aiming for a shot at her dream, Zina moved to the United States with the intention of achieving one specific goal: to become a well-known TV news anchor and reporter in the country. Despite her determination, she quickly realized that moving ahead was, of course, not a walk in the park. Along the way, while building her name in Tunisia  and the Middle East, Zina was subjected to sexual harassment and was expected to pay bribes. However, her past experiences in the field strengthened her determination to succeed in the United States based on the merit of her own ability and the work that she put out.

In today’s cutthroat journalism industry, simply having the necessary skills is not enough to get hired. Zina has had to battle for each and every one of her achievements, and she has done so by constantly expanding her knowledge and abilities. In addition, she has bolstered her qualifications by attending lessons at six different media news academies.

Even though Zina applied several times to local TV stations in Virginia that required native Arabic speakers for positions, they would rather wait for months to get a recommendation from abroad, pay housing, transportation, living, flight tickets, immigration fees expenses to bring someone who is well connected but has less skills. She hopes to cut through the curtain of red-tape and make her mark within the industry.

Zina has set herself apart as a top prospect in the harsh field of journalism by making a commitment to lifelong education. With her newfound experience, Zina is better equipped to recognize important events, write screenplays, shoot, edit, and broadcast them, gaining the ability to fill any role in a media outlet. Throughout her years as a journalist, Zina has covered topics such as inflation, the Twitter bid, abortion, the Ukraine/Russia crisis, gun violence, and the political careers of senators Chuck Schumer and Alexandria Cortez.

To keep up with the fast-paced news business, Zina made sure to use the most recent innovations in technology to maximize efficiency and decrease work time. She was able to do this by producing her own short films on relevant issues such as overcoming addiction, abortion, military service, domestic abuse, and investigative journalism.

Zina’s linguistic skills and work ethic make her an ideal candidate for any position at a news station. In fact, she can communicate effectively in three different languages. In addition, her years of experience and dedication to her craft make her a reliable and trustworthy journalist.

Zina’s story is one of determination and perseverance. Despite all the difficulties, she never gave up on her dream of being a TV news anchor – a dream she’s had since childhood. Backed with her determination and skill, someday she’s sure to achieve success without giving in to the corrupt nature of the media industry.
