Will we see the nude truth of Taylor Swift in her new video?
It’s no longer a Cruel Summer, Taylor Swift is back with a worldwide tour celebrating her career and has released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with six extra songs fans haven’t yet heard. Taylor is finally baring all, but will we see the nude truth behind her ever-so-cryptic lyrics?
Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun
Taylor Swift’s war with Scooter Braun began when he acquired Big Machine Label Group, the record label that owned the rights to her first six studio albums, in 2019. Swift accused Braun of “bullying” her and not allowing her to own her masters, which are the original recordings of her songs. She also claimed that she was not given the opportunity to purchase her masters before they were sold to Braun.
The conflict between the two escalated when Swift publicly called out Braun and Scott Borchetta, the former owner of Big Machine, for exerting control over her music. The issue was eventually resolved when Braun sold the master rights to Swift’s first six albums to a private equity firm for $300 million.
Swifties are rejoicing at even more music from the musician as she’s rereleasing each album she has recorded but making it her own. We can’t help but relive our teenage memories with the classics returning to the radio once again.
The nude truth behind Speak Now
Swift’s album Speak Now is mainly about love, heartbreak, and personal experiences. The title track is about a wedding where Swift objects to the marriage in an attempt to win back the groom. The album also includes songs speculated to be about her ex-boyfriends and past relationships, such as “Dear John”, believed to be about John Mayer, and “Back to December”, thought to be about Taylor Lautner. However, Swift has not confirmed the exact inspiration behind each song on the album.
In a recent turn of events, Taylor Swift hired ex-Taylor Lautner to appear in her music video “I Can See You” alongside Joey King. The music video featured old costumes as well as many Easter eggs alluding to her past. It’s no surprise fans rejoiced at seeing the old fames reunite, but she didn’t stop there.
Lautner and his wife Taylor (yes, it’s confusing), attended The Eras Tour and even joined Swift on stage with a few backflips for good measure. It’s clear there’s no bad blood between the pair which is what anyone can hope for. However, we doubt John Mayer would share the same sentiments as he posted something cryptic on Instagram saying “please be kind” days before Swift’s rerelease of Speak Now.
It’s obvious Mayer is hoping to avoid anymore backlash especially after he witnessed the drama which followed Taylor’s release of “All Too Well (10 minute version)”. Don’t get us started on the Jake Gyllenhall plotline. We’re still not over it . . . .
Taylor’s Version
We can only hope to see even more music from Taylor Swift as we relive teenage memories and battle mercilessly for Eras Tour tickets. All of this comes after allegedly leaving her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, hooking up with Matty Healy, and reuniting with bestie Selena Gomez for a single’s celebration on July 4th.
We don’t know how she does it, but it’s why many of her fans are in awe and we can’t help but agree . . . Taylor Swift is truly unmatched.
