Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper aka Saweetie has quickly risen to the top of her musical career. What's the singer's current net worth?

Exactly how did Saweetie make her net worth? Here’s what we know

Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper aka Saweetie has quickly risen to the top of her musical career over the last few years with hits like “My Type” & “Tap In”. The twenty-seven-year-old rapper boasts a promising audience of ten million monthly Spotify listeners and a fanbase of equal followers on Instagram.

Saweetie’s career began like most rappers’ carreers do – by posting her tracks for free on SoundCloud. When she dropped her hit debut single “Icy Girl”, the song gained so much attention that Warner Records reached out to her for a record deal. Working with the likes of Brandy, Bebe Rexha, Cher, Ciara, Dua Lipa under the record label, Saweetie found her career taking off.

From her exorbitant dressing style to private jet trips she shared on her Instagram, the American rapper has made it clear that she enjoys luxury. However, given her current net worth, many speculate how Saweetie can afford such luxury. Let’s take a look!

Musical career ft. record label

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Saweetie has a net worth of $4 million as of 2020. The Santa Clara-native released two extended plays High Maintenance & Icy in 2018 & 2019 respectively. Saweetie’s debut album Pretty Bitch Music is set to release in 2021 and has been preceded by singles “Back to the Streets” featuring Jhené Aiko, “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat, and “Tap In” which achieved platinum RIAA status in 2021.

Along with making money from her music & songwriting credits, Saweetie’s net worth also saw a boost from her lucrative contract with Warner Records. Why lucrative you may ask? Well, the standard artist-label contract included a not-so-standard deal to launch her own ICY imprint label in collaboration with Artistry & Warner.

Evidently, this new kink in Saweetie’s music contract only added to her growing net worth from music sales to distribution. “You know you have something special when an artist immediately connects in the way Saweetie has,” COO & Co-Chairman of Warner Bros. Records said in a statement at the time of signing the contract with Saweetie.

Entrepreneurship

Aside from music, Saweetie cumulates her net worth from fronting fashion brands like FashionNova & PrettyLittleThing. Moreover, PrettyLittleThing – who previously partnered with celebs like Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, Teyana Taylor, Karrueche, and Sofia Richie – reportedly grabbed the “Icy Girl” star for a partnership and a Saweetie-inspired clothing collection.

The collaboration between the PLT & Saweetie led to the showing off the fashionable clothing line at New York Fashion Week in September, 2019. Saweetie’s fashion show included a jam-packed performance of singer Ashanti and fellow rapper Lil Kim at the event. And of course, Saweetie’s longtime beau Quavo along with Paris Hilton showed their love & support for the collection launch.

Early last year, Saweetie didn’t let her quarantine time go to waste and started another venture that helped her net worth. The rapper collaborated with beauty brand Morphe to launch her own makeup collection, calling it “Backstage With Saweetie”. She also mentioned to Elle how a lyric from her song “My Type” inspired the purple-hued lip gloss shade “8 Inch” from her collection.

Private jet controversy

At the end of December 2020, Saweetie took to Instagram to post images & videos of her private jet and it led to fans questioning how the musician could afford it, given her net worth.

The USC-graduate celebrated her first private jet and wrote on her Instagram story, “I got my first mother f***ing jet, I’m hella happy. This sh*t hell mother f***ing big I know that’s mother f**ing right.”

Many speculate Saweetie’s high-profile rapper boyfriend Quavo, who boasts a hefty net worth of $26 million, bought the private jet for her. While some others claim to believe the jet might be leased by Saweetie herself. However, neither Saweetie nor Quavo have made further statements regarding the issue.
