Wei Yang Chen, an aspiring filmmaker who’s telling a story with his unique language, values partnership in Hollywood. After winning honors and building a reputation for working with important film festivals, Wei Yang Chen was invited to serve as a screener/juror for the Oscar® qualifying Woodstock Film Festival in 2023. Prior to that, he provided invaluable services to the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival, one of the largest Indian community film festivals in the U.S., and received high praise from Tasveer’s Executive Director, Rita Meher, in 2021. The Tasveer Film Festival is also a distinguished Oscar® qualifying film festival with a strong reputation in the industry, having become a federally recognized 501c3 organization back in April 2013. Meanwhile, Chen had already gained extensive experience in the field. His film “Hindi Mama” received international acclaim, winning awards at the Silver Mask Live Festival and Rameshwaram International Film Festival and being a semi-finalist at the SENSEI Tokyo Film Fest in 2023.
