Bollywood Movies That Are Video-Game Inspired

In the same way that movies inspire people to adopt a certain look, video games can do the same. They frequently rely on one another because of their massive fan bases. Since the early 2000s, it has become common practice for gaming apps to incorporate elements from popular Indian film franchises and storylines. Players that enjoyed this trend kept doing it.

Therefore it must be popular. Bollywood has followed suit, and here are a few of its most famous films that have been turned into computer games. These Indian film-inspired games may not have the most engaging mechanics or visually stunning graphics, but they’re fun to play and won’t hog much of your phone’s storage.

The Indian Context

Famous movie tie-in video games are big business in India; movies based on video games you can play offline and online, like at Betshah. Although the games may lack the technological polish of other popular titles, they are nonetheless popular with fans thanks to the widespread recognition of the franchise’s characters. This explains why some game developers have adapted plots from cult movies. Here’s a selection of games inspired by Indian movies that are fun to play while lacking compelling gameplay:

MSD: World Cricket Bash

The official game of “Dhoni: The untold narrative” has been included in the previously released game Cricket Hungama 2016. The game revolves around Sushant Singh Rajput’s performance as MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain and two-time World Cup winner. Before swiping the ball in the desired direction, you can choose whether to play a lofted or grounded shot. Wicketkeeper/batsman Dhoni is indeed the game’s protagonist, but bowling also offers solid controls. Challenges, storylines, wicketkeeping, and so forth are only some game modes.

Baahubali: The Beginning, the first film in both series and directed by SS Rajamouli, was adapted into a video game. Due to its familiar mechanics, movie characters, and demand for real-time strategy, Moonfrog’s creation was one of the most downloaded games. The game’s goal is to expand the player’s empire by conquering other countries. The Android game is a fun way to kill time.

If you’re familiar with the popular strategy game Clash of Clans, you’ll find Bahubali challenging due to its use of archer towers, healers, and other components. If Mahishmati chooses you, you will become a Senapati. You organize an army, set up defenses and traps, and then engage the Kalakeyas in combat using the unique skills of several hero characters. In this battle, anything from elephants to catapults can be used to assault the opponent’s stronghold. You can fight with a group or go it alone.

The love drama Sultan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and released in 2016, was a big financial success, earning over 600 crores worldwide. The movie starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma was turned into a video game shortly after its first release. To play the official video game—made by 99Games—you’ll need an Android device. The game simulates a boxing match between two players, who then engage in a vicious slugfest until one is declared the victor.

In the movie, Salman Khan played the title role of Sultan. In the game, you play the role of Sultan, who engages in combat with numerous enemies while gradually leveling up his health, strength, and defense with each victory. Once your stamina is up, you can unleash a devastating “power attack” on your foes. Brothers is a video game inspired by the Hollywood film of the same name, which starred Siddharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar.

Sholay is an arcade game based on some of the best old Bollywood movies. This game is fun to play if you long for the days of Contra. You play as Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) and Viru, and you have to fight off Sambha, Gabbar, and their gang of thugs (Dharmendra).

Dhoom 3

In 2013, 99Games adapted the action thriller starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Abhishek Bachchan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Available for both iOS and Android, this thrilling game is a faithful adaptation of the film’s story. Those who assume the part of Amir Khan will have to run through the streets of Chicago to evade ACP Jai and the other cops.

It’s a racing game in which Aamir Khan has to race through heavy traffic while evading the cops and dodging helicopters. During the race, you collect phones while utilizing the throttle to stay ahead of the pursuing cops.

When you collect powerups, you can use them to activate the nitro and gain an advantage. As you continue through the game, you’ll gain access to superbikes and new racing outfits for your character.

Kochadiiyaan: The Reign of Arrows

Vroovy Studios developed the game based on Soundarya Rajnikanth’s 3D Tamil film Kochadiiyaan. Playing as Rajinikanth’s character Kochadiiyaan, the player in Kochadiiyaan: Reign of Arrows must use archery to fight an invading army single-handedly. The game ups the tension by presenting players with various environments to explore. It’s an Android exclusive, so don’t expect to play it on any other platform.

Little Singham

The Ajay Devgn–starring and Rohit Shetty–directed Hindi version of the Tamil film Singham is a remake of the original. A movie that became successful thanks to its heroic police figure has been adapted into a family-friendly video game after spawning a TV series of the same name. Young Singham portrays the game’s heroic police officer. When playing Little Singham, you can assume the role of a police officer, soldier, sailor, pilot, cricketer, miner, and many other professions.

RA one

Sony Computer Entertainment adapted this Shah Rukh Khan–starring Anubhav Sinha–directed science fiction action film into a video game for Play Station 2 and 3. The cinematic characters in this action-themed single-player game bring the game to life.

Krrish 3

The third installment in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish film series inspired a computer game developed by Gameshastra. Infinite running can be played solo or with several players, and each player can take on the computer or other players. In Krrish 3, the player can assume the role of any of the aforementioned characters to win the game. Only those with an Android device can play this game.

Numerous other movies from India’s film industry have also been adapted into video games. Interesting stories were turned into video games to cash in on both industries. Many movies, including Don and Chennai Express, have inspired video games.
