Discreet Couture – Replica Fashion Giant gets Support from fans amid IG Suspension

It has been a norm for buyers or fans to file petitions when their beloved business faces any type of threat or suspensions on social media. An online business, Discreet Couture, has been observed to receive similar support when some of their regulars submitted a petition against the suspension of their page on Instagram.

Discreet Couture is a company that supplies and sells merchandize that may infringe copyrights of luxury brands; including items like clothing, handbags. They were suspended last month by Instagram due to copyright infringement.

Businesses like these do come and go especially on social media like Instagram, Facebook etc. However, this company, Discreet Couture, has been observed to have gained quite a popularity especially amongst US, UK and European patrons that may have lead to their customers or fans viewing them as a long lasting and trustworthy business.

Apparently they are notoriously famous for dealing in fake items that are of boutique / lushentic grade which is deemed to be the highest quality. Not to be confused with “Designer Discreet”, Discreet Couture is actually a newer but substantially more reputable company when it comes to the online replica business. This might be the reason they were being targeted by competitors and being reported all the time when there are tons of other “replica” sellers on Instagram that does not face these problems.

Discreet Couture has been suspended for the 3rd time; as reported by one of the fans. They have since noticed to be shying away from social media sites and concentrating on website and youtube.

Their presence on youtube is still modest; here are some of their reviews of their products:

Instagram, Twitter and Facebook have been routinely suspending accounts associated with copyright infringment services or products.

However, some may feel that supporting these types of businesses are unethical as these businesses are, in a way, indeed mocking those who have spent so much money purchasing merchandise from the boutique stores at retail prices when sellers like Discreet Couture are selling them for less than a quarter of the original price, with their product quality also known as lushentic grade.

For more information on what lushentic grade replica is all about there are some articles that explain in depth as below:

On a separate note; if you are a constant buyer of replicas, you might want to be wary of what the payment processors like Paypal have against you:

Starting 2023, payment processors like Paypal and Stripe embarks on a joint campaign to identify and monitor users and sellers who use their platform as a payment gateway to receive payments or funds from buyers of counterfeit items, fake goods such as luxury handbags, watches and even digital products that infringe copyrights.

Simply put, this includes “designer inspired” items that are manufactured and shipped from China, including fake watches, shoes, clothing, jewelry, handbags, and belts that are of substantially high value outside of the norm. For example, a typical Chinese made handbag will cost only an average of 50 US dollars; however replicas are typically sold between 200 to 600 US dollars, according to grades like AAA, lushentic grade etc. According to sources from representatives of payment processors, they may monitor or reject payments to accounts in Asia or South East Asia that display this amount or behaviour.

While Paypal protects buyers from fraudulent transactions, they have apparently reduced protection preferences if said transactions are suspected or deemed to be for purchases of items with nature as mentioned above.

Paypal CEO, Dan Schulman also indicated in a controversial press release on January 2023 that they may be actively shutting down or withholding payments directly to certain provinces in China and Turkey that are deemed to be highly active in production of items that infringe copyrights.

This caused a substantial backlash from US and Canadian importers that have and are currently working closely with China dealing with genuine and regular merchandises.

“China is producing everything from head to toe. How are we supposed to deal with business safely if you are stopping us from engaging in overseas transactions?” said a representative one of the larger US importers who declined to be named.

Globalisation has indeed taken a step backwards due to this practice as it may very well hinder a huge amount of transactions between China and Western nations that are dealing with standard type of merchandises in various industries.

It also affects retail shoppers from US, Canada and Europe and currently without services like Paypal or Stripe, retail shoppers have been said to use direct payment platforms like Western union or Transferwise. Both platforms support credit card top up for security and convenience.
